Beware! Charged for a family emergency. On October 30, 2021 literally as we arrived in the parking lot of the Hampton Inn North/Carmel, IN, we received a phone call stating a family member had been in an accident and was taken to the hospital. We had no idea what hospital or location we only knew we would not be staying. We explained to the two women at the front desk that we had a family emergency, I think one was named Hannah, stating we had to leave and could not stay. They said they would advise their manager of the emergency, and we left. The cancellation policy for Hilton states: “Cancellation policies may vary depending on the rate or dates of your reservation. Please refer to your reservation confirmation to verify your cancellation policy. If you need further assistance, call the hotel directly or contact Customer Support.” From that statement it would appear that since we spoke with the hotel in person, there would be some understanding as to the state of emergency we were thrown into. Instead, we were charged $115.36 for walking into the lobby. The statement also indicated that we checked in on October 30, 2021 at 1:00 pm, and checked out October 31, 2021 at 2:35 am. That’s very interesting since we never stepped into the room. Also, shortly thereafter, we received an email thanking us for our stay and stating how pleased they were to have us there, how thoughtful of them. However, I wonder who they were pleased to have there since we never stayed. I do not recommend this hotel.

Won’t feel safe here if we visit again Considering my car was literally stolen from the lot, and several others were broke into, and there are *no cameras*… it hardly mattered that service was fine or that we were told our room would sleep five, and it didn’t.

Room smelled like a dirty dog My room smelled like a dirty dog and the mattress was rock hard. So I have to have 200 characters to submit this survey so here it goes. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Hampton used to be my hotel of choice, but if you can’t get it right in Carmel, Indiana god help you anywhere else.

Very clean and friendly The Hampton was friendly and clean It had easy access to downtown Indianapolis. It was easy to find. Our room overlooked the roundabout wit a huge flower sculpture which was nice. We didn’t have time to explore Carmel but maybe next time! I would definitely stay at this Hampton Inn again.

Great Hotel Would stay here again and recommend it if you are in the area. The location is nice. I was in town for the iroman in Muncie, but opted to stay here instead of hotels closer to the venue with that were of a lesser quality. 10 out of 10!
