Hilton Doesn’t Care We checked in and unpacked our luggage, after I went to rest on the bed & noticed the pillows looked played on, when I pulled back the covers, there was yellow goop on the sheets & crumbs on the bed. Gross. It was around 4 pm, I called down to the front desk & the young woman apologized & said she was sorry, housekeeping was gone for the day & she was by herself. No other rooms were available, but she could get us to another hotel. Since we were completely unpacked, I asked if I could get clean sheets & change them myself, she allowed that to happen & gave us a slight discount. In the morning we went down for breakfast at 6:15am & they were completely out of food & coffee. An entire bus full of tourists were leaving & wiped them out. They knew the hotel was booked & were not prepared for it. The following morning, my spouse was ill & I called down to the front desk. I already knew it was going to be a "no" , because I had talked to Jerry earlier & he was extremely rude, to not just me, but another guest who had a question. I asked for a one hour extension so my spouse could get some rest (kids were running & screaming through the hall all night) & immediately he sad "NO.." "But I'm an Honors Loyal Member." "I don't care, it's against our policy." We just canceled our stay at the Hilton in Melbourne, Florida! Thank you, Jerry, for letting us know our loyalty doesn't matter to Hilton,

Nice Quiet Stay I found this hotel to be very clean, comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Our room was very quiet and spacious. This particular hotel did seem like it was more the choice of business persons though, as it is located in more of a business complex perhaps? That did not deter from our stay though.

Very average hotel that needs maintenance Very average hotel, not to the standards of other Hamptons. The good - front desk person was friendly and helpful. The not so good - room A/C unit was very loud and vibrated, TV lost signal on some channels, rust in the bathroom, overall room just OK. We paid $230 including taxes and expect more from the brand. A little maintenance can go a long way.

The best of the best! What a wonderful stay! I have nothing but good to say about this Hampton Inn. The front desk staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. We had a young small dog; they were so welcoming to him also. We wanted a first-floor room, and they were able to get that worked out for us. Speaking of the room - it was immaculate, and I am very picky as I stay at Disney hotels on site, and they are always immaculate. Most hotels can't live up to those standards, but this hotel certainly did. The breakfast was very good. It was ready on time (which was not our experience at previous hotels this trip). The food was good, hot, presented well. There was a great variety of hot and cold foods- eggs, sausage, hot oatmeal, toast, muffins. The eating area was very clean, and the morning attendant was very helpful. We were able to get breakfast at 6 am which also was great as we had to leave early and were able to eat instead of having to stop along the way. There was hot coffee and several varieties always available i the lobby. We will stay at this hotel again in the future when we visit relatives! Thank you for an exceptional stay!!

More of a Days Inn than a Hampton Inn I don't know how this hotel can be rated #2 in Cedar Rapids. Room was dated. Carpet was old. Bed was ok, pillows ok, hot breakfast ok. They do have hot water. Front desk personnel was very friendly. They even accommodated a special request. But when I book a Hilton hotel I expect Hilton-level quality. This one didn't deliver...
