A Nice place to lay your head My husband and I have some favorite restaurants in Cedar Rapids and decided to make a night of it. We were traveling with our dog. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We were in on the 3rd floor and it was quiet. We will definitely stay here again

Terrible Room Design in an Otherwise Good Hotel The problem with this hotel isn't with the staff, the cleanliness, or anything like that. It's that the one-bedroom rooms have the only bathroom accessible only through the bedroom! So not only do you have no privacy, but anyone sleeping on the pullout couch is forced to wake you up if they need the bathroom during the night. To make it even worse, the bathroom light switch is outside the bathroom, so the whole room floods with light for a second or two before you can get into the bathroom and close the door. How hard would it have been to place the bathroom in a way that it could also have a door to the main room? The bad night's sleep I got, combined with the moderately high cost, means I probably won't be back, especially if I'm sharing my room with friends or children.

One Night Stay My aunt and I stayed here for just one night, while I was in town for a symposium. I was able to check-in on the Hilton app before arriving and received a digital key. The digital worked fine for the room itself, unfortunately, it doesn't work for any of the external doors. The room was okay, though it had an odd odor to the place (the only way I can describe it, is it smelled like old Play-Doh). The shower could have used some updating - it was the first Hilton I've stayed at in a very long time that didn't use a shower curtain or had a frameless glass shower screen. Rather it had the old metal frame and frosted glass, which just looked dirty. When I check-in on the Hilton app, I was able to choose which room I wanted and I picked a room on the top floor, in the hopes I wouldn't have to hear noise from guests. Unfortunately, this was not the case, as we had to listen to kids running up and down the hallway all night and then listen to their dog barking very early in the morning. The free breakfast was okay - pretty standard hotel fare. All said - the staff at the reception desk were very kind and welcoming. One recommendation - please have some caffeine-free tea and/or decaf coffee available in the evenings, where you have the beverages (coffee, tea, and hot cocoa) set up for guests.

Do not pre-pay for this hotel If I could give this zero stars I would. Do not pre-pay for this hotel. We pre-paid it two nights and did not make it the first night, but were there for the second night and they gave our room away and took our money because we were not there the night before. Beware, they don’t care about taking your money or leaving your family without a place to stay they did both to us, took our money and we had no rooms.

Bad Experience! I was visiting a family member at this hotel and was mistreated. I have never experienced this at any hotel, not even those below three stars. I smiled and said hello to a few of the employees in passing, and they looked at me like a piece of trash (housekeeping/front desk), dates 17th -19th of July. How is the hotel still open and operating? I did not request anything from anyone, and I was unsure why I was treated this way. Whoever runs this facility needs to get new staff and maybe fire the manager if they cannot hire friendly people. I hate saying that, but why would anyone stay where they are treated poorly, even as a guest of a person staying here? I am a nice and quiet person that minds their own business. Then I had my car given a warning for parking in their parking lot. I just parked my car, not even in a prohibited parking spot. I'm so damn confused. I think this company should be closed and revamped. Apologies do nothing for the experience I had. Although this is minor compared to what the actual guest experienced. But due to the current rules, I can't post anything for them.
