Great Alternative for LA Business Travel As point of reference, I am Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador level. I travel to LA frequently, and work near the airport. I have stayed on airport and in El Segundo multiple times. I was looking for something different where I could still have relatively easy access to my work location. I am so happy I gave this property a try. To start, it has been renovated about 3 years ago, and well maintained. I was offered a generous upgrade to a suite that has a comfortable sitting area - and an area for a king bed - with a TV that swivels in between. My pre-arrival request for additional towels was fully executed to the spec. The bed is incredibly comfortable. The TV system is the current Marriott Bonvoy system that allows access to streaming services like Netflix and Prime. In lieu of a lounge I was offered vouchers for the buffet breakfast - a generous and fresh offering. The team working in the property were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Parking is also complimentary. The area around the hotel is great as well. It is somewhat residential with an outdoor mall across the street. There is a movie theatre, Walmart, Trader Joes and a number of restaurants. A nice location to walk around too when I had downtime. I am thrilled I found this hotel, and will certainly be back. To the team at the hotel, my sincere thank you for your efforts and for making me feel welcome and at home.

Modern and Well Appointed The Cerritos Sheraton has undergone a significant updating and makeover. A clean and modern Atrium is complimented with well appointed and comfortable rooms. The pool is now open - towels are provided in a basket before you exit to the pool deck. Hotel team is friendly and helpful. There is no onsite restaurant at this time, however there are numerous restaurants in the mall behind the hotel.

Noisy at night We stayed five nights and could not get a good night's sleep for three of them due to noise from the next room. The noise was loud music, talking, something that sounded like someone was weight lifting and changing plates, and while it wasn't noise there was a strong smell of pot. We did not call the first night thinking it would not happen again. We did call the Front Desk the other two nights and didn't even have to give a room number of next door, they already knew who we meant. The people next door did quiet down quickly once they were called but it was hard to get back to sleep. All three times the noise started between midnight and 1 a.m., like they had just returned to the room. The room also seemed dated despite a renovation a few years ago. The two stars are for location and friendly front desk.

Parties are the priorty After one full night we couldn’t last a second night. Next door we had to listen to partying, profanity and pot smoking. After the first night , housekeeping used a strong Deodorizer to cover the smell. The second night, we complained to housekeeping who acknowledged there were too many people in the room . A few hours later we complained to the front desk . No one did anything . We packed up our stuff at 8:45 pm and left. We were refunded for the night. So much for our family vacation.

The front desk was friendly. Stayed at this hotel 3 times this year during the pandemic, service is very limited due to COVID-19, no food options at all, except the pantry next to the front desk for snacks & drinks. The hotel front desk was friendly in general, especially the gentleman who checked me on our 2nd and the 3rd stays was very friendly and efficient. The room is decent and clean, but their pillows are super soft and flat. Also I only received a tiny /handy pack of the Sheraton branded wipes in my room on the 2nd stay, not the 1st or the 3rd, don’t know why. The hotel is mostly quite, except during our 2nd stay, we had a non-stop crying baby next door, and you can literally hear the mom was yelling at the baby all night which made the baby cried even worse, the baby did not stop crying until almost 3am, that’s a disaster. And one thing I don’t understand is that we checked in on the app, requested late check out, upon arrival I checked in at the front desk to get the key and confirmed 1600 check out as elite benefits. Guess what? The housekeeping lady was keep knocking at our door at around noon, and asked if we’re checking out today and what time we are leaving. Why you would keep knocking on our door when we had the “DO NOT DISTURB” sign on the door? And ask us something that you should have known? More interesting, at around 1500, while we were still in our room, don’t know who checked us out accidentally or purposely, our TV was turned off and reset, then the housekeeper was trying to enter to clean the room shortly after. It was a mess.
