Comfort Suites Charleston West Ashley

Great Value Very nice hotel for the price. We got the suite which was very big and roomy for our group. The walk in shower and jetted tub was nice but the ceiling in the shower did leak onto you as you showered. It was coming from the room above us. The staff said they would move us but we were leaving soon so we stayed it out. The indoor pool is tiny but heated. Breakfast was always super crowded and not great but nice for a free meal I guess. Definitely would stay here again because it is a great value for what you get.

Overpriced and don’t waste your money! Dirty room, supposed to have 2 beds but had a fold down couch that had a 1 inch thick dirty foam mattress, there is absolutely NO PARKING, it’s one of those run-down dirty joints that is just filled with nuisances, chose elsewhere. If it was 49$ a night it would be a good value.

Hotel very clean/Room was fantastic. I loved the room that I had at this hotel. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean, and the front desk personnel were very friendly. Breakfast was well stocked. It had lots of scrambled eggs; sausages; hot cooked oatmeal with raisins, sugar, granola, and cinnamon; hot cooked grits with cheese and butter; toast selections; and pastry selections. Also, a large bowl of apples. This hotel is not within walking distance of downtown, but it isn't too far away. The noise level, even though we were in a corner room (with two sets of windows), was very low. I would give this hotel 6 stars if there were 6 stars available. I really enjoyed staying there. May6-9, 2024.

Not cleaned My only complaint is the room wasn’t clean. Didn’t vacuum, hair in the shower, dust thick as ever on the bathroom vent and behind the toilet. The glass partition and closet doors has all kids of film on them. Just tells me that the room likely wasn’t cleaned. Hoping the sheets were changed

A few concerns, overall nice hotel March 2024 Staying for a visit with family on John’s Island. Very convenient, front desk staff very nice, large rooms, older hotel but clean with well stocked rooms. Breakfast provided, plenty of choices, food typical. Upon arrival you are told and written that there will be NO room service unless asked for so needless to say we were quite surprised when a woman came barging into our room the first morning, clearly with a pass key. She had no “normal” housekeeping cart with her, only a trash bin with what looked like a bag of some supplies. No identification or housekeeping clothing on. Could not speak any English to even explain why she was standing in our room. Needless to say she was escorted out. Second day it happened again but did not enter, only a slight knock. Front desk was notified both days. They were very apologetic explaining, new employees in training , no English etc. I get it but in this day and time it was quite unsettling to say the least not to mention a little sketchy. Just a reminder to lock up and protect your valuables, everywhere. Hopefully the hotel is diligently working to remedy this. Special note, for some reason there is a 2-3 in gap between the room door and the floor. Might want to take a towel and stuff under the door for extra privacy, safety etc. Very weird. Overall, financially it was fine. Will we stay there again? Not sure yet.
