Amazing stay!! I had an amazing time at Hotel on Market. First off its so quaint, and pretty with so much to do around the area. But what really made my stay were the employees and the people at the front desk. They stop at nothing to make your stay even more than you expected. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Amazing Staff My husband and I had an amazing time here. Charlie and Kevin were very welcoming and made our stay that much more special! Thank you both for going above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay! We will love to come again!

Average hotel and hospitality for the area, but there is room for improvement. We stayed here during October 2019 (which is quite busy) while they were doing renovations. There was minimal noise, however the fire alarm went off several times in the early morning. After evacuating and returning to our room a couple of times, we left the building to get away from the sound. The hotel staff sent an apology letter to each room, which was nice, but it was more than a minor nuisance and so we expected something more. The front desk was hit or miss with their hospitality. We had more pleasant experiences than not. The continental breakfast is what you expect from a mid-range hotel.

So Disappointing The location is ideal for exploring Charleston on foot however, this is a construction site. I was looking forward to a return visit to what was The Doubletree only to find this most disappointing hotel. Everything is temporary from the check-in desk to the reception/breakfast area to the entry, to the equipment filled sidewalk, to the one elevator. The door handle to my room was very difficult to operate and even the bellman had trouble opening the door. No one came to repair it. I was expecting the grandeur and magnificent Christmas decor of the former hotel, the convenience of the front entry and was greeted by scaffolding and large cranes etc. The view from my room was a wall and construction zone. The worst part of this disappointment was that I was not advised when I made the reservations directly with the hotel. The staff was professional, welcoming and most helpful but could not make up for the conditions we found when we arrived. If I had known I would have stayed elsewhere. Very unhappy client.

Great location Excellent staff and accommodations. Perfect location. Right by the old market. You can park your car and walk all over Charleston. Great restaurants close by. Carriage stables across the street. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
