Thank you for a great experience! Great service. Great accommodations. Great rate. After a terrible experience with the hotel we had reservations with, we came to the Holiday Inn Express. The person at the desk was professional, kind, and helpful. Our room was clean, inviting, and spacious. We had 2 queens and a pull out couch for our family of 5. Includes fitness room, pool, and hot breakfast. Would definitely stay here again!

Almost turned us against Express This holiday inn express appears to have undergone some renovations. However, this one almost made me never want to stay in express again! The front desk lady was super nice! Check in was easy. The front area is super tiny and so are the rooms. Although clean enough to not feel like I wanted to go running, the tub has a nice dingy ring around it. The door hinges , TP holder and outlet covers are tell tell signs of how old the hotel is. The door has old holes where slide locks and the other hardware used to be. There are noticeable inches of Clearance where the light and even people walking by can be seen. The fold out bed is inches from the AC vents and the people in that bed will surly freeze! Once the bed in u folded there are near inches between everything making the inability to navigate to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The breakfast had the normal fair of an express but the sausage was so hard you couldn’t cut them. I was excited that they at least had bananas that were fresh and good. The area to eat is very small and if you have no other choice but to sit against the wall in front of the window you will be blinded by the morning sun, a nice set of sun blocking shades. Again. For a king suite size and the prices of this hotel I cannot recommend this location! There is a courtyard hotel feet away that from the outside looked very nice. Charleston was clean and other than parking issues it was a nice stop on our trip.

Wish the other HIE had been available I had not planned to stay at this location but I received a call from the manager at another HIE in Charleston that they were renovating and my stay might not be great. I appreciated that and I booked three rooms at this property. It was more expensive due to only having suites available, but I thought it might be nice to have an upgrade. I'm not sure if this hotel is a remodel or a new building, and I was excited to see the bright lights in the lobby and smell of fresh paint and carpet. However, there are alot of little things that aren't up to standard for what I expect from an HIE. Parking was terrible, and when I inquired about options, I was told to park along a side street, but to leave room for other cars to get by. I see that the property is resurfacing their lot, but a little better signage or instructions BEFORE I had to ask would have been a nice customer service touch. There were hairs all around the perimeter of the bathroom that I cleaned up before my wife had a chance to see them. We arrived late so I didn't want to have to move rooms. I was tired. The molding on the coffee table was peeling off and I almost broke it off when sitting down. The darkening shade would not raise in the room. Not sure if a cord is missing or what. The other shade did work properly. There is no place (other than the breakfast room which opens at 7 AM) to fill a water bottle or get water. Not even in the fitness area, which usually always has such a simple amenity. I also noticed that there were lots of small details like pieces missing from hallway (fire) doors and other doors that simply wouldn't fully shut (Fitness room). I know all of these are minor things, and when staying one night there isn't the chance for management to correct them. It was just disappointing.

Great place for a night Service was excellent and breakfast was very very good. Lots of choice, fresh, clean. Rooms are outdated but clean. No coffee machine in room but there is 24 hour coffee downstairs. I like to have a cup when I wake up and don't want to get dressed to go get one. Good location as restaurants within walking distance

Avoid this hotel - rude, unhelpful staff and TERRIBLE parking There is an individual at this hotel named Trevor. He is is one of the worst people I have ever encountered in 30+ years of being in customer service myself. He was very rude to my wife and insulting to me. There is EXTREMELY limited parking at this site. Trevor told my wife to park on private property next door which could have resulted in the vehicle and U-haul being towed. When I called him about it, he told me "I am not going to start with you." And to add further insult, Holiday Inn charged my wife for the stay even though she had no where to park and had to leave to find another hotel. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
