Nice but $$$ No real issues. Nothing special but it was clean and the staff were friendly. I think the only issue was the parking. Not a lot of parking is available so know that. They did offer free valet but I don’t like to valet overnight. Otherwise this is right on the middle of many shopping and eating establishments.

Upscale Hampton Inn close to SouthPark Mall This upscale Hampton Inn was my base last year whilst attending the practice days of the Wells Fargo Championship (PGA golf tournament) at Quail Hollow Club. I chose this hotel as it's located 1/2 mile from the SouthPark Mall Belk parking deck, where the tournament shuttle bus departed from - an easy walk distance-wise, however, it involved crossing two unnervingly wide roads (Sharon and Fairview) and I had to keep my wits about me at all times whilst using the slow-to-change crosswalks. Hotel parking was free but in outdoor lots shared with the adjacent shops and restaurants of Phillips Place; might be difficult at busy times but I was fortunate to find a spot fairly close to the hotel side door on the Sunday and left the car there until Thursday :) Check-in/out was quick and efficient; otherwise I had no interaction with the staff. My double queen room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. Room included mini fridge, microwave and safe; bathroom was a decent size though rather oddly contained the coffee maker and a small TV built into the mirror. Only had breakfast once and it was OK, standard Hampton fare. Highly recommend Southern Pecan restaurant, a stone's throw from the hotel's front entrance.

Great stay Staff was Very helpful. I Left an article of clothing and they were very helpful in helping me Locate it after we checked out.it got mixed up in the laundry and they were able to locate it for me when they could have easily ignored the situation. Hotel room was nice and. clean. Very comfortable and spacious.

One of the finest hotels in Charlotte This marks the third time I've stayed at this Hampton Inn, and there's a good reason I continue to return. Simply put, this location is one of the finest hotels in the entire Hampton chain. It's also one of the best hotels in the Charlotte area. My room was 619, ironically the same room as my previous stay last summer. In fact, all three visits to this hotel have been in rooms on the 6th floor. Absolutely no complaints with the room. The high ceilings and light color scheme lend the room a bright, airy feel. Furnishings are beautiful and elegant. The attention to detail is impressive. The work desk is unusually large, and there's a handy laptop table next to the lounge chair. There's even a TV built into the bathroom mirror - just in case you want to take a long soak in the tub without missing a show. The bed was very comfortable, everything was clean, functional, and in good condition. One of the two elevators as well as the 6th floor ice machine were out of order during my visit. Neither had a major impact on my stay, but it was a bit surprising to see considering the excellent overall condition of the hotel overall. This hotel tries some creative offerings for breakfast. While I appreciate the effort, this sometimes means they don't have plain options at the breakfast bar for those of us with allergies. I was, however, able to get a plain bagel as part of their grab and go breakfast bags. At both check in and check out, Whitney provided exceptional service, matching the level of excellence displayed by the entire hotel. The Hampton Inn Charlotte-Southpark is solidly in my list of best hotels I've stayed at. It's going to be more expensive than other Hampton Inns in Charlotte, but if you're looking for a hotel that's operated at the highest standards, as well as uniquely elegant decor that would look right at home in the finest luxury hotels, it's well worth the extra cost.

Front desk unprofessional! Actually, we had just checked out of the Hampton in Lexington, VA where we were treated great, and I gave a wonderful review for them. Unfortunately, this Hampton we were not treated very nice, after a long trip from Pa, the gentleman at the desk told me our room was not ready, but he would go check on it and blamed it on the Holiday's. He disappeared and I never saw him again, the woman at the desk picked up a phone call and said, I do apologize, but still not ready, just go shopping or go to the restaurants out there and get a drink for about 20min?? Nothing else? So, my spouse who walks with a cane and I went down to one of the local restaurants -(where we were treated very nice)-mind you this was way after 4pm-(check in is to be 3pm?? So around 4:20pm we walked back up. I went back in -no one at the front desk for another 10min?? then the same lady came out and tossed the check in cards on the counter and stated-"Your room is ready"-and ran back into the side room or office? I know the Hampton's are pushing this new app check in, but I am not into that yet, and I know eventually we will have too, ugh, change right. But until it is a must, to be treated this way, I will never stay at this Hampton again, and it is a shame due to the Inn was very nice. Show original message
