Peace and Relaxation We stayed for a weekend for our annual wrestling convention. Fantastic time as always! Food was great. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and available to answer all questions any time. Convention space was top notch, as always. This is an annual convention for the hotel, and I do wish they had been able to keep the ATM running, but otherwise everything was perfect, as always! The lake out back is such a beautiful and relaxing setting. It's definitely our family's favorite place to stay, and we will be back next year! Thank you Hilton Charlotte for everything!

Stay somewhere else 95% of the time I write only positive reviews. The only time I write a bad review is when it is really bad. The hotel is so bad it almost became funny. The area around the hotel is not very nice (not the hotels fault but worth mentioning) The hotel had a homeless guy in front that is desperately in need of a few dollars. The toilet will not flush with anything in it. It took almost all day to get someone to simply plunge it. You WILL NOT get anyone on the phone at the front desk. You need to expect to go to the front desk if needed like its 1895. The VIP lounge (or whatever it is called) is a joke. the couple of drinks in the fridge are warm. The food is microwaved Sam's meatballs and some celery sticks. Can't tell you about the room service because no one will answer the phone. I think someone screwed up and answered one time but immediately hung up. That was exciting but disappointing in the end. I will admit the room was decent when it comes to cleanliness but the positive stops there. We tried to switch rooms at one point due to the defective toilet but the other room the AC was not working. From what I have read on other reviews we were very fortunate to have a decent AC unit so I stayed put. Anyway, I travel a lot and I know what a decent hotel is and what good service is and this ain't it. Not terrible but not up to Hiltons normal performance. I might would have gone up to average if anyone would have answered the phone at any time we were there.

Great Location Great location, very close to the highway and there are restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance. Ample free parking and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast buffet was overpriced at $22 for basically what you get free at other hotels. The tv in the room is a screen size I rarely see at a Hilton anymore, way too small. The hotel was busy due to a convention and seems to stay full. Behind the hotel is a lovely lake area where you can sit and relax. Hotel needs updating, but the room was comfortable and clean.

Executive lounge … why did I bother ? Rooms OK, no problems with in person service and location was fine. I arrived late, slept well, so why only two stars ? My status provided access to the executive lounge for breakfast … I should not have bothered … stale bread and coffee machines that didn’t work and had no milk !

Great visit and a great part of town with awesome views great staff and huge TVs lol This hotel is amazing, and I can’t understand any poor reviews. The rooms are apparently old, but they look new to me, and I am a very critical guest. The hotel itself is beautiful as is the boardwalk area that surrounds it. If you are a member that has access to the executive lounge or are able to book access to the executive lounge. I highly recommend it. The views are spectacular and the hors d’oeuvres nightly, and drinks all day a great perk. This also include the continental breakfast that you’re not fighting with the rest of the hotel to get. If you can get a high floor, the views are amazing. I’d like to recognize Mame from the executive lounge area. She goes above and beyond to help the guests. The only complaints that I would have is the lobby gets a little busy because it is such a large facility, however, also the elevator works with your room key so that you don’t have to worry about party guests entering the hotel itself. The other complaint was that the refrigerator was not cleaned out in my room from the previous guest, but I can see how that can be overlooked. Don’t be afraid to book this room and it is much better than the other Hilton in property in the area.
