DO NOT STAY HERE! Put us on a floor next to many rooms used for a medical sleep program. Loud and noisy with no sleep because nurse was in and out of rooms all night. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Terrible!!! Front desk person was rude. Breakfast not included. Almost nobody in the parking lot so it wasn't due to lack of room in the hotel.

Clean Hotel in a Lovely Setting Nice, clean, quite hotel. Lovely setting with chairs and firepit overlooking pond and walking track. Clean, well-appointed rooms. Friendly front desk. We were greeted each time we walked into the hotel. Tasty breakfast (not free, but reasonably priced). Nice fitness center. Convenient to Monticello. Highly recommend.

Bed bugs This hotel was nice enough at first glance. The entire hotel smelled like cleaning chemicals and chlorine and when we walked in and the pool room itself was so strong of bleach we actually walked right out. Still this all didn’t really matter to us. The biggest issue here was that when I woke up I had itchy welts all over my stomach and foot. They were definetly bites and I definitely didn’t have them when I got there. There was no one at the front desk to tell as we were leaving. I called them today to let them know the room we stayed in and what happened and I got a “ok I’ll have maintenance look into it”. That was it. So I would avoid at all costs. FYI they do charge for the breakfast buffet, a first for us.

Probably the best choice of Charlottesville's bad selection of hotels...... I have travelled all over the country and world and have never seen a city with such a void of nice name brand hotels as Charlottesville. We landed at the Hilton Garden after checking out in person the Hyatt place at Stone Gate, which was dark cramped and hot, so we turned around and came across the city to this Hilton Garden. We were here the first week it opened in 2007 and it was a beautiful hotel, fresh new and desperately needed then. Since that time this has been the preferred stop if we were on a trip and needed a hotel in Charlottesville, not even a second thought. But this time we had a different impression the couches are the same since a visit in 2012. This hotel is just dated. The rooms are clean, but my bathroom had tile lifting off the floor a sloppy caulk job, around the toilet weird shelves with paper peeling off... and the TV was sitting on a 12 ft. countertop in the room. For the good points, when we called Ken was a warm and welcoming voice and offered us connecting room which is a huge plus. Charlottesville just needs some new hotels. I'm not sure where all the student's and their parents stay because because I haven't found anything that isn't scary and sketchy other than this Hilton and even it needs a facelift and repairs. The pool is great and working, and I love their roomy parking lot and adjacent landscaping. One thing to note is that there is no complementary breakfast.

Great off Highway hotel. Near everything This hotel is one of the best off highway economical hotels I have stayed in. It’s close to everything, Monticello, vineyards and a short drive into downtown. Clean, comfortable beds, nice pool and fitness center. Great breakfast and staff.
