Overcharged and dirty Front desk cannot be trusted. Booked 4 nights thru Sat. On Fri told front desk we'd like to check out a day early. He sd no problem since booked thru Choice website. On Sat am, desk guy sd that's wrong and we are charged $204 for Sat nite. I had booked another motel in Ky by that time. Poor. 1st nite very squeaky bed in 105. They did move us out of that room to 3rd fl. 2nd night power outage for 8+ hrs with several cancellations per staff. Did they get charged? Emergency lights in stairwell and lobby did not work. Had to use cell pho light to use stairs. Place has dirty carpet in hallways and elevator.

Dirty and unloved. Wouldn’t stay again. We chose this hotel due to its proximity to the incline railway. Although it’s part of the “Choice” group a sign in the lobby proudly states it’s independently owned. I would think Choice should run a mile from this old Raddison hotel. We had assumed that as it was formally a Raddison hotel it would be of a certain standard, it’s not. It’s awful, first impressions are everything and as soon as you walk in it’s dirty. The lady on check in was the first Tennessean that wasn’t friendly. My husband said “ Hello, how are you, we’d like to check in please” and all he got back was “ I need your ID”. No hello, welcome to the country inn and suites, nothing. Getting into the lift was the second sign that nobody cared as again it’s incredibly dirt. But this theme just continued into the 2nd floor hallway. On entering our room we instantly could smell that someone had been smoking in there. You’ll see from the photos how dirty it was, I’ve only ever stayed in two other hotels in all my 52 years where I haven’t wanted to take my shoes off. The bathroom although the floor was dirty and the shower railing old and dirty was clean enough to at least shower and use the sink and toilet. The bedding appeared old but clean(ish) although all our way home the following day large welts/bites have appeared all over me, but didn’t see any bugs but to be honest didn’t want to look to closely. We decided to go to the nearby Cracker barrel for dinner and to tell the person on reception about the smoke on our way out, no more than 20 minutes after checking in and to tell her we didn’t have any towels. The towels she provided but couldn’t have cared less about the smell, just told us the hotel was supposed to be 100% smoke free. Breakfast is free and provided in an area off he lobby, again sadly very dirty, the gentleman was trying but it was very busy and he was a bit overwhelmed. It was standard fare, cereal, and eggs and potato’s etc. When we checked out we again mentioned smell of smoke and the gentleman on the front desk that time seemed a little more interested. This hotel is like it’s been unloved for a very long time and could do with a lot of money to get it to a standard that the Choice group claim to have.

Walmart feet to be expected DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! From the moment we checked in we had nothing but problems. The clerk behind the desk, who turns out to be the assistant manager, was rude and unprofessional. She had no patience when asked for rolling carts. When ask to provide a photo ID, I handed over a military ID by accident. While it had all the information that was required, it was not what I had intended. I was met with a sarcastic and impatient, "The only thing that that tells me is that your husband was in the military!" It doesn't, but she already had an attitude and I wasn't going to fight her on it. Once we get into our room we noticed that the beds were lumpy, the room smells musty, the air conditioner is mediocre, floors were dirty, trash was in the cupboards, and the TV remote was broken. It was learned later that the phone in the room also did not work. Upon taking a shower later in the evening, I found dirty gray water coming out from underneath my feet as the shower washed away the muck and grime that I picked up walking on the floors. The rooms are in desperate need of a redo. The hotel is old and outdated, or at least it appears to be. I was jostled and startled for hours as people went in and out of the swimming pool which was located below my room. At 10:00 at night I was unable to get to sleep after a long and weary day on the road because of all of the traffic in and out of the pool. When I called the front desk, the same assistant manager picked up the phone and informed me that the pool would remain open until midnight. When I inquired about a discount on the room, given all the disruptions, I was told that she could not do anything about it because of corporate. When I inquired about a room change, I was informed that they were nearly sold out with only one room left. I requested to be relocated to that room and was told that I could not because I was already in this one. I pushed back stating that it is possible to be moved to another room when the room that you are in is not meet for service, or not what was expected for value, but she insisted the corporate would not allow her to move me because I had already spent hours in this room. Hours, mind you, they were spent listening to the teeth rattling noise of constant door slams from the pool as well as dogs barking in the hallway. This place is filthy. The people are rude. This is not a place that I would ever come to again if somebody paid me. Believe the reviews that you read. I don't know how this place got more than three stars. I wouldn't have given it the one star I gave it if it wasn't required in order to leave a review.

Came back maids were hanging out in a corner visiting 2 new towels put in room, absolutely no soap, shampoo or conditioner just empty used containers beds unmade. Pool was nice cold I slipped and almost fell outside of the pool. Pool towels were empty.
