June 16, 2021 Only in town for 1 night, but the GM Sandra Franks made us feel like we were part of her family! She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. She and her staff greeted us with smiles and kind words every time we saw them. The hotel and our room were SUPER clean and had gone through a remodel since our last visit over 2 years ago. We will certainly stay here again...oh, and it's directly across the street from the casino!

Nice stay Nice hotel located across from Harrah’s Casino. 10 minutes to Blue Ridge Parkway and Oconoluftee Visitor Center. Many restaurants and shops within 10 minutes as well. Good service and free breakfast. We would stay here again, but it wasn’t my favorite location.

Nice place to stay, walk to casino Great rooms, reasonable rate. Friendly front desk and food. Walking distance to Casino. Clean and nice ambiance. Large rooms, quiet a/c. Free parking. Pool small, gym was not open. Staff was masked. Breakfast was fine and they will cook a hot breakfast as well.

Decent option in Cherokee I’ve stayed in the property for several days in a recent trip the Great Smokies National Park. Having driven through Gatlinburg once in this trip, my decision to stay in the North Carolina side of the park had proven to be a smart one, as traffic was much more manageable (or really hardly a problem). The hotel is situated close to the Casino, about 10 minutes drive from the park. Just next door there is a gas station. Food establishments are easy 5 minutes drive from the hotel. The hotel is fairly standard Fairfield affair. Platinum status was recognized, and upgrade was proactively offered. Not the best available suite of the hotel, but still one of the few times that I had not have to ask for it. The room itself was large and specious with the normal amenities as expected. No house keeping at the time of COVID. Breakfast is self-serve for packaged food with the ability to ask for hot items from the server. Sadly, mask mandates were not really enforced in the hotel. Couple of point to consider – the suites have only one windows at the bedroom end of the room, making the “living room” extremely dark. Strange choice in my opinion. The other point, DO NOT get a room over the patio. The windows are not sound proof and when people talk (even in normal voice) one can hear everything – that made my nights very hard as people congregate outside until 10 or 11 PM and as the window is right at the bed one could hear everything.

Hooray for hot breakfast This place was actually great for a night and looked recently renovated. But the best thing was hot breakfast. Well it was just eggs and sausage but considering how other Fairfield inn I have been too was basic continental, I was ok with this. Better than ok. Besides the fact there was a rude neighbor blasting the TV at 3am, it was an enjoyable night. And yes staff was awesome.
