Always Top Notch Service This is our 3rd time back to Candlewood Chesapeake. They always great me and my team with a warm welcome. My team loves to Grill and the Gazebo area was clean and accommodating. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. THANK YOU to Melinda and her Team for all you do.

Check the beds and sofas when you arrive. On a recent group stay of 6 rooms at this property we had one room with feces in the sleep sofa, and one room that was so polluted with cigarette smoke that one of the people who had to stay in the room had an asthma attack. The staff denied that the previous occupant had smoked in the room, and did not fulfill my request to bring in an air purifier. The hotel was full and they were unable to change rooms. The 4th floor of the hotel also reeks of marijuana smoke. The manager has not responded to my communications, and IHG has been unable to get anyone at the property to respond to them. When I try to call the hotel the phone just rings and rings and eventually someone disconnects the call. I hope to get a resolution to my case within a reasonable timeframe, and I hope no one else has to find poop in their bed!

Great Stay Fantastic stay. This hotel has been recently renovated and it shows. Very clean and well kept lobby and main areas. Customer Service was great - very patient and personable. Lovely surprise to see a full kitchenette in the room. Compete with pots, cups, bowls, etc., 2 burners, dishwasher, and full fridge. Although the room isn’t huge it is nicely decorated and comfy. Bathroom was extremely clean. You get alot for the price of this hotel. Had a very good nights sleep because of the cleanliness and stylish furnishings. Will definitely visit again!

Bedding and pillows The main thing i look for in the room is the comfort of the bed. The pillows are so fluffy and soft I can sleep for days on it. The mattress and comforter are so soft and tucked in just right. The housekeeping is wonderful.

Manager and Staff I stay at a lot of hotels because of my profession and this hotel by far was the best. I spent a little over a month there and the Staff was amazing. Front Desk staff always made sure i had everything i needed and with kind greetings every day. Working night is tough but the General Manager Melinda coordinated with the staff to allow us to sleep in and had our rooms cleaned later in the day so that we weren't interrupted. Melinda continued to handle our needs throughout our stay. I strongly suggest if you're looking for a great hotel in the Chesapeake area this is the one for you, your family and your Coworkers
