Nice Stay at Nice Hotel. Stayed here for a single night in conjunction with a wedding. My room was clean, quiet, very comfortable. Front desk service at both check in and check out was also very professional. No problems whatsoever. My only question was the extra $50 added and later retracted from my bill for “incidental” expenses. Huh? There was nothing in the room that remotely qualified as incidental, such as a fully stocked refrigerator or bar. Pet damage and such, that I could understand. Overall I had a nice experience and would recommend this as a good place to stay. Easy on/off from I-94.

Thin walls, noisy. The walls are so thin you can hear every word of your neighbors conversations. They run out of breakfast food if it's busy. Every soda machine broken. Convenient location on Hall Rd and Gratiot. Pool, and gym were nice. Office center functional.

Rude Administration The General Manager, Dan M. is the rudest customer service representative I have ever spoken to. I called the local phone number and Made a reservation for August and they charged me for the same day I called and made the reservation. Isnt willing to give any solutions or give me credit even though it was clear that the room rate was based on a wedding block in August. He interrupted me throughout the conversation and offered zero help, only blame. Write down any front desk employee you speak to, because the customer service is abhorrent.

Pass on by! I would recommend you find another place to stay. While the room was generally clean and the bed comfortable, there were multiple small issues that led to an unpleasant stay. When we arrived, as Gold members, I inquired about the availability of a complimentary upgrade. The clerk was very pleasant and upgraded us to a king suite. The room was quite large, however, it was very difficult to control the heat and the thermostat was poorly responsive. There was no remote for the TV (I was able to get one from the front desk) and the TV reception was extremely poor; we ultimately just turned the TV off. The hotel is old and the bathroom was very small. Breakfast was typical Hampton, though the choices seemed a bit limited. When I checked out, I noticed that I had been charged for the upgrade, although they quickly corrected it when I pointed it out. The biggest issue is that the common areas of the hotel are filthy - and I mean, filthy! The carpet and furniture in the lobby are so stained and dirty that I was uncomfortable being in that area; I told the clerk at check-out that I wouldn't even let a dog sit on that furniture!

Horrible Worst place in all of Michigan to stay. Been going to Lake St. Clair for 8 years now and I have stayed at this place several times. It has gone way down hill. The staff was rude not only to me but other guest as well. I heard several conversations while checking in that were rude. They over booked the hotel for the week and couldn’t give my friends the room they paid for…. They complain about boat parking when over half the guest are there to fish for the week. They have very few outlets that work outside to plug up and charge boats. My advise to you is to find a new hotel because our group will. Place is terrible.
