Clean basic motel with friendly staff I’ve now stayed here three times for visits up to Chico State over the past year. This will be our go-to option over the next few years while our daughter is in school, since we prefer to be able to walk around downtown and campus. The staff are very friendly and the rooms and bathrooms are clean. The beds are comfortable. The AC/heater works well. The breakfast is extremely basic but is fine (cereal, bagels, toast, pastries, bananas and a waffle maker).

Good, Clean Motel in Good Location We have stayed here several times. This is mostly a standard motel but it has several good points. First, the rooms are nicely appointed and attractive, having been well updated. They also have some good lighting options rather than just basic, standard lights, making the ambience more comfortable. Bathrooms and showers are nice, and they provide a night light. The rooms are always clean. Staff always seem helpful and friendly. There is a breakfast provided - it is very basic and we usually don't bother with it, but for those who need something quick, they do at least provide that. The location is good, being on the edge of downtown, and quite walkable. It's a short walk from most of downtown, including restaurants, the university campus, and Bidwell mansion. There are some eateries, an antique store, and ice cream right next door. There is a nice swimming pool, a big plus, and they provide pool towels at the pool. Otherwise, it is a basic motel and a negative is that parking is fairly limited. However, employees will often help out at finding parking places at night.

Excellent! No getting around it. Love this place. Would return in a minute. QUIET! Many firefighters staying here. Pony met us at check-in and gifted us a King Bed as they were out of Queens. Bed super comfy! Pony must have known it was my birthday! We mentioned at booking that my husband, a Bass player, was preparing for an Orchestral audition, & only asked for a room on the ground floor. In addition, rooms on either side of ours were vacant and my musician felt comfortable to warm-up and practice in our room. Great pool. 2-3 blocks to an incredible Open air Market (Saturday). Walking distance on Friday, thru a park (with live music) to a bevy of restaurants. Fine morning breakfast off the check-in area, got us on our way with pleasantly full tummies. Thank you Quality Inn Chico!

The most expensive motel in the world I was up there for Chico State graduation. What a freaking racket. The charge was (approx) $465 per night. This is your classic two-star motel located on a busy, unfortunate strip, complete with meandering street denizens. On the plus side, the room was perfectly clean and fine, and the front office staff were absolutely professional and accommodating. On the minus side, I've paid less for 5 star accommodations in Hawaii, New York, and other world class destinations.

Hard to get over the smell A/C unit in my first floor room smellled like a bum peed in it. It was so bad my eyes watered all night Rug was also dirty and sticky. The owners should stay in the roms once in a while to see what guests experience. If not for the nice kocation, i would gice one star.
