Great location This hotel was in the perfect location when going for the annual pony swim. The beds were very comfortable, rooms were clean, and there was a great view from the room. House keeping only happens daily, if you ask. One problem we had was with the hot water. My granddaughter took a COLD shower at 10 PM and I had a COLD shower at 2:00 PM. I had to turn the water off while I soaped up and turn the water back on to rinse off. My flight from Philadelphia was changed and I was unable to stay the third night, but the hotel still charged me the $300. That was disappointing that they couldn't be understanding about a change beyond my control even though they were told 4 days in advance.

Bad service So this hotel has a sign in the room that can go on the door that says service please. We had it out all day and didn't get maid service and went to the front desk to at least ask for a clean washcloths and towels. The person at the front desk tells us we have to walk back to our room to get all our dirty stuff for the privilege of clean washclothes and towels. What service...

Great place with breathtaking views Enjoyed a wonderful couples getaway and had the perfect stay at Waterside Inn. The sunsets were breathtaking from our balcony! We also enjoyed breakfast that was included with our stay. It is a short drive to the beach and less than 5 minutes to Maddox Boulevard! Will choose to stay here again when we return to Chincoteague

Quiet off-season stay, breakfast method not for all Our mid-April three night stay at the Waterside Inn was pleasant, quiet, with a lovely view of the marsh and the harbor beyond from our room. Everything at the hotel was clean and comfortable. The pool looked very inviting, but not in mid-April. They've added pickleball courts and are really pushing them as a recreational opportunity; might be easier to find a game in the summer. The hotel is a great value in the shoulder season. Personally, we did not like the way they do breakfast. There's no buffet; rather, they offer a choice of two breakfasts, usually a waffle or a breakfast sandwich, which they prepare for you. No other choices, no pastries, no yogurt, no hard-boiled eggs, nothing. It seems like a relic of the COVID era, and probably reduces mess and waste, but it wasn't to our liking. My wife, who's diabetic and doesn't care for sausage, couldn't find much to eat; we actually bought her an Egg McMuffin one morning.

very quiet and nice upon arrival, the smoke detector was chirping, staff quickly got us another room... while the "breakfast" offering was different (grab and go) there was no shortage in the servings... the room was huge, even with 2 queen size beds and a love-seat/sofa, small dining table w/2 chairs... the only "odd" thing, the microwave's location... I believe every room has a water view including our first floor balcony .... was off-season so can not judge how quiet it might be during the season, but we will be back.... was too windy to walk the dock of their on-site marina, but looked very nice, as did the couple picnic tables between pool and water
