Injured Rusty old sewing needle broke off in my foot while changing for bed. I ended up having to have it surgically removed. Hotel manager was never available and has not answered my emails. Choice hotels said someone might call us. It’s been over a week and still no response to my emails or Choice hotels. (They still charged us for the room!).

Satisfactory but a little rough around the edges Spent one night on cross-country trip. Wanted a fitness room if I was going to pay the rather high motel/hotel rates that are demanded these days. There is a fitness room that was very small but satisfactory for me. I was told and noticed that the pool and hot tub were unavailable and obviously had been for some time. Carpeting in the halls had not been cleaned in a day or so. AC was noisy; rip in screen; breakfast was fine - nothing to write home about. Would have appreciated oatmeal, more fruit than the very green bananas on hand. Positives: very good bed with two nice pillows per person. Appreciated the coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Had a very good night's sleep on the second floor.

Bed Bugs! If I could give this hotel a zero star review I would. I checked in and found an adult bed bug so I asked to change rooms. I was then moved to a different room and thought I was safe yet I found more bed bugs in the middle of the night. When I mentioned this to management and asked that they address the issue, nothing was done, just a smile. Be careful and stay somewhere else.

Nice hotel in Clayton, NM Hotel was clean. Breakfast was good, had biscuits but no gravy. Desk clerk courteous. Conveniently located in a hood area of town. Limited parking. Towels were changed out daily but I asked for sheets not to be changed since I was just there 4 nights.

A very disappointed Choice Hotels member I reserved our room 1 month ahead of our stay using the Choice Hotels reservation system. I have stayed nearly 50 nights in choice hotel lodgings. This was the first and only place that charged me a fee for using a credit card when checking in. A sign was displayed at the desk that this credit card fee was without exception. At check in I asked for the fee to be waived. I was told it could not be waived. I explained that this could be corrected if I reported it to my Visa card issuer, and I did report it after returning home and the credit card fee was refunded / applied to my VISA account. In addition, the room was not clean and the breakfast wasn't adequate. I would suggest that a person check around for a better place to stay.
