Hampton Inn & Suites Lake Jackson-Clute

Needs updating! While it is a Hilton brand, there is no digital key even though the confirmation emails said one was coming. Reception was friendly when we arrived after 4:00. Our room was on the third floor and the carpet in the halls are heavily stained. Our room was a suite and very much in need of refreshing. Our nose tissue container had one tissue and an empty wrapper. The toilet is the very old style where you feel like you’re going to fall to the floor before you actually sit! The TV is in the center of the room and barely swivels so not seen well from the sofa or the bed. The floor lamp doesn’t work and the Ethernet connector is so very passé. There’s a safe but it’s locked with no instructions and there are no glasses in the room. There were little flying bugs in the bathroom sink when we got there, we washed them away, not sure how or why they got there. The coffee in the room is actually good and choice of coffee for breakfast was good. The hot breakfast was cheese omelettes, Canadian bacon, breakfast potatoes, waffles, oatmeal. The cold was cereal, muffins, fruits.

Interior needs some love The front desk staff was very friendly, the lobby was clean and welcoming. The exterior of the building looked very nice. Stepping off of the elevator onto the 3rd floor, the carpet was filthy and heavily stained in the hallway. The room was clean but needs to be refreshed. There was a terrible smell in the room and apparently others had the same issue because people had their doors propped open. This hotel desperately needs some interior work.

Nice place to stay Nice room for the price. Location was convenient Pretty large, comfy bed. Room was clean. Front desk was courteous and helpful. Coffee was good. Couch could be updated but otherwise I could recommend.

Clute TX Hampton Inn The manager of this hotel made my stay at Hampton Inn the most unpleasant and regretful trip I have ever taken. She does not like or employ Hilton's pet policy and her attitude and demeanor show it. She made my trip a horrible experience.

Disgusting We booked because it had breakfast. Stained carpets, coffee machine in room doesn’t work and at 8am a disgusting remnant of something that was supposed to once be breakfast. Won’t be returning here. $116 of waste… Staff were nice though although embarrassed.
