Exceeded our expectations The Days Inn in Coeur D’Alene exceeded our expectations in our recent stay. Hotels are pricey in the summer and this was a more reasonable one for the area so we were just hoping for clean and comfortable and not a lot more. It was that plus much more. And the location was great! Central to everywhere we wanted to go and close to the freeway to hop on and get out of town if desired. The hotel is a bit dated however our room was spotlessly clean and the beds very comfortable. We had a mini fridge and a microwave. Any staff we encountered were very friendly and so accommodating. The added perks were the popcorn machine in the lobby and the fresh delicious fresh baked cookies every evening! The breakfast was basic (yogurt, cold cereal, bagels and fruit) but enough to get one going for the day. If you like a hot breakfast this isn’t the place for you but we just went out one morning to Cracker Barrel, which is close by, for that. My only complaint was more of a personal nature; the pillows were a bit too firm for me and I developed a headache after two nights so had to go out and buy a softer pillow. I never thought to ask if they had any softer ones so maybe that was my mistake. But there were six pillows on our two beds and they were all the same. It’s nice when there a bit of variety so one can choose the one that suits them best. All in all I would most definitely stay here again. Kudos to the staff!!

Nice place in a good location This is an older hotel but it’s nice and clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The included breakfast was wonderful with lots of great choices and very fresh food. It’s a great place to spend a weekend — close to everything but not outrageously expensive.

Good value close to amenities The Days Inn is close to the freeway exit and easy to find. Many restaurants, movie theater and parks are within walking distance. The staff are friendly and the beds were comfortable. The continental breakfast options are basic cereal, oatmeal, bagels and some yogurt. Overall a good value for a hotel in the area.

Good bang for the buck Great room for a great price. Room was surprisingly quiet for being on the main floor next to a major roadway. Staff was always helpful and friendly.

Over priced, mediocre, decently clean Yikes it’s hard to find a decent price for a decent place to stay in CDA. I looked six months in advance and the pickings were already slim. We were going to be passing through and just needed a play to lay our heads for about 7 hours. This seemed to be the best of the worst from what we could tell. The outside looks terrible and the lobby isn’t much better. The room had been renovated with the past few years so it was surprisingly ok based on the expectations I had formed from the exterior. We had a suite type room with a cot that was a suitable space for our family if two adults and two teens. They even have us a roll-away double size bed! The bathroom hadn’t been renovated though — not sure what decade that was from. All in all it was an over-priced, extremely mediocre hotel room that was decently clean.
