Nice Place This is a nice Comfort Hotel. The gal at the desk, Linda, was super friendly. The room was clean and nice. The king size bed was comfy (not quite soft enough for me, but my husband liked it); the sheets were soft. It was very quiet in the room. the dining room was roomy and clean as well. This nice room was only $87 total.

Looks bad from the outside, but decent inside When I pulled up to this hotel, I almost walked in to see if I could cancel my reservation and go somewhere else. My kids in the backseat were asking why the hotel looked so dark and scary. There was a big hole in one of the window screens in the front, and it just looked like a place I didn't want to stay. Plus the location is just awful. It's not easy to get to or see even though it's right off of Texas Ave. It's set back off the main road behind two tire shops. This leads to a lot of noise during the day also. I had a room at the front of the hotel that viewed the back of the two tire shops with rows of dumpsters. Also, from our room we could see a dirty diaper sitting on the roof of the entrance (see photo). But the hotel did redeem itself a lot with a decent lobby and large and comfortable rooms. The inside is much nicer than you'd expect from looking at the exterior. The elevator is extremely small and slow, but everything else inside was at least average for this type of hotel.

Not your typical good Comfort Suites hotel My wife and I typically stay at Comfort Suites because they are typically consistently good. Not this one. 1. The A/C was a window unit that was noisy every time it cycled on. 2. The local channels on the TV would not work. The desk clerk said someone was to have fixed that earlier in the day. 3. I rise early. There was NO coffee in the lobby and/or breakfast room at 5am. Every Comfort Suites I've stayed has coffee. 4. The night clerk was asleep on a couch in the breakfast room.

Be warned… The point of sale system they use will make multiple charges to your account which you better be ready for, to the tune of sometimes more than double your stay price, and the staff are incompetent to explain why that will happen or fix the problem immediately. They have ice machines on all three floors, but they have unplugged them all to save money on electricity. When you do ask for ice, you’ll have to go all the way down to the front desk, and then they will either fill your bucket behind a wall from a bag of ice , or go to the fridge inside the breakfast kitchen to pull ice cubes from a tray; both methods without gloves. If you have a stay longer than a few days you run the risk of returning to your room to find you’ve been locked out because they have checked you out in error (this happened to members of our group). When you ask to not be distributed and or specifically request to not have maid service, it takes harping on the matter up to but not limited to 3 times before they will stop violating your privacy. The “breakfast” you are paying for is a joke, and frequently late in its preparation, incurring a delay in whatever plans or scheduling one may have; plus the breakfast area doesn’t seem to be cleaned after every day use. The fitness room is not cleaned daily and one of the only three machines doesn’t even work. I could go on, but I think my point is clear. There are plenty of other hotels to choose from in the area that will most likely be a better experience for you. —First Responder

Visit to Presidential Library While convenient to the Bush Library, not much else to offer. Breakfast was non existent. NADA. Cold cereal was it. The coffee dispenser was empty. And staff didn’t seem to care. Blame ownership for not ensuring a good experience.
