MOLD & MILDEW, A HAZARDOUS HOMEWOOD SUITES! A picture is worth a thousand words MOLD & MILDEW, HAZARDOUS HOMEWOOD SUITES A picture is worth a thousand words! My family and I had to endure horrible conditions at this location. Homewood Suites College Station - 950 University Drive. The advertising online as well as the reviews do not adequately portray the reality. I checked in on Wednesday October 2, 2024 after a long day of travel. When we got to our room 401 the smell was overwhelming. The mold was even growing on the picture in the room. When I asked the front desk agent to be transferred to another room I checked 2 other rooms (room 400 & 100) and they all had a very foul smell and mold. When I asked for the associate to step in the room because she wasn't bothered by the smell she said it was " the cleaning supplies they used". No way cleaning supplies smell that bad. " A picture is worth a thousand words". Please see the attached picture I took from the room we had. Growing Mold!!!! My family and I checked into an Embassy suites 5 minutes away When I checked into the Embassy suites it was great. I shared my experience about the moldy Homewood suites and even the front desk staff said they have heard the same thing and even one of them had to stay there because of Houston flooding at one time saying how moldy and smelly it was. Hilton Corporate offices should be made aware and make the necessary changes to improve the hazardous conditions this Hotel presents to all who stay there.

Customer Service Gems Assistant manager Christine and front desk Jamie, the rest of the front desk crew, maintenance, housekeeping and the morning breakfast crew gave impeccable service! I’m pretty bad when comes to remembering names. But I was so upset when I arrived from the most nastiest air bnb place I booked prior to that reservation. I will take outdated furniture any day over sharing the bed with a rat! Yes a rat!! I lost over $600 at that place cause the greedy owner wouldn’t refund me for the rest of the days I didn’t stay. Without even knowing what I had gone through prior to my arrival, their genuine kindness and great customer service turned my horrible vacation around. Everyone I encountered was very knowledgeable of questions I had. They were very attentive to my needs and very prompt with every request or concern I had. Yes the property is a little outdated, but the central location along with all the surrounding restaurants is a win for me! It’s not their fault the company hasn’t upgraded the place. But when they do, it’s going to be the perfect place to stay. I would recommend anyone visiting College Station to stay at Homewood Suites. Best small hotel stay I’ve had.

View of the dumpster As we walked in we were greeted with an empty smart water bottle, food in the sink which was hardened, freezer had gunk in it and a view of the dumpster across the alley. The room needed to be cleaned and only 2 bath towels and 1 hand and wash cloth. The shower curtain was old and dirty. The drapes hang on the floor and the sheer ones are torn at the top. The breakfast was pulled chicken, watery eggs, burnt tater tots and heavily peppered bacon. Every spicy sauce you could imagine, why would you put that out on a weekday when people go to work after eating that ?!? Will not stay again

Old hotel This hotel needs a complete update. It looks like it is back in the 80’s. The bathroom floor and the area around the tub looked gross. The closet sliding door did not work and smelled musty. I would NOT stay here again. Motel 6 would have been better.

Not what I have come to expect from Hilton Substandard in several ways. Rusted refrigerator, torn shower curtain, dirty floors in elevator lobbies, staff indifferent. Unable to change television station in common area because "manager doesn't want us to change it so she locks it in her office and she is not in now" at 8:45 on Monday morning.
