False advertising. Awful. I'm going to write our issues with this hotel in the form of a list to avoid ranting about my negative experience: 1. The "pool" that the place advertised was closed our entire time there. We peeked into the pool and it was a green swamp. 2. The "on-site laundry" was a filthy, disgusting, bug-infested, cob-webbed facility that my even husband refused to use. 3. When we asked about the continental breakfast the hotel advertises online and on the billboard as you come in, they said, "oh, we don't do that anymore." 4. Our trash cans were not lined when we came in. The receptionist said "we don't line the trash cans." I went out to buy liners at the HEB (and considered buying cleaning supplies too, the place was so gross). The next day, the cleaning lady lined our trash bags. So the receptionist lied because she was too lazy to fix the issue?? 5. We were told that cleaning services would come between 9-11. Often didn't come til 3 pm. 6. They took our "do not disturb/ cleaning requested" door hanging cards and did not replace them. Made me super nervous about relaxing with my husband because I never knew when they would knock at the door. 7. There was something on the ceiling over the shower/tub that looked suspiciously like mold. There was also a lot of dirt on the walls. 8. Their shower had awful water pressure and spewed water all over the place. Also never got hot. Made showers unbearable. 9. LAYERS of dirt on surfaces. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. 10. When we arrived, the ice box was filled was trash and smelled awful. We requested it be replaced. The receptionist came by and took it without replacing it. We requested a new one from cleaning services and it was eventually replaced. 11. We realized the phone doesn't work when we attempted to call the front desk. Also blinks an annoying red light. 12. One of the legs on the mini fridge was broken, making it difficult to open and close. Also there was a pool of water at the bottom of the fridge. 13. The door stop came off the wall anytime my husband touched it. 14. You could see a collection of dirt/bugs inside of the light fixture. 15. My husband was not initially provided with a wifi password and had to go in person to ask for one. It was not found anywhere in the room and he could not call because the phone didn't work. 16. The outlet by the bed was controlled by a light switch on the wall. When you turned off the light switch, you turned off not only the lights, but the power outlet next to the bed. So you couldn't charge anything by the bed at night. We later inspected the lights and found that they previously had separate switches on them, but they had been broken and never replaces. 17. Our comforter had two holes int it. 18. On our way out, while inspecting the room for left behind items, we discovered a cigaret bud (in an apparently non-smoking hotel) on the floor, as well as a popcorn kernel. Overall, I was really disappointed. I've stayed at a bunch of budget places before but never had an experience as poor as this. If my husband and I had more money, we would've immediately left. Don't make the same mistake we did. Stay somewhere else.

Absolute Worst Not sure where to begin, way overpriced, room smelled like someone just smoked in the room the night before. I paid for non smoking room, no hot water, so no shower! No lid on toilet tank, torn shower curtain and nasty, stains all over everything (carpet and chairs), cabinets all broke. Nice TV, but remote didn’t work. Trash still in sink when we arrived. Not sure it was cleaned but the bed was made. We actually slept with all our clothes on….absolutely horrible place. You should be ashamed charging 125.00 per night for that place. WILL NOT EVER BE BACK!

Worst hotel ever This is absolutely the worst hotel I have ever experience. First room given to use had the door open when we arrive with no AC only an electric fan. Also, was a smell. Second room smelled like smoke. The doors did not shut tight. AC had some type of white residue in it. The only good thing bout this hotel is the young lady at the front desk. She was very helpful and gracious. Thanks to her for bring some light to an otherwise horrible experience.

Reservation experience was the worst I much prefer giving good feedback and kudos - it has to be a very bad experience to prompt me to share a negative review. I needed to be in College Station on an event weekend and this was one of the few options. The property itself is very old and dated, but the rooms are surprisingly clean and comfortable. I would have been perfectly content had the reservation experience been positive. I called direct and spoke to Rebecca. She did share that she had only been employed there 5 days, but she quoted a room at $79.99 (said that was the rate when you call direct), took my card info and processed my reservation. She said an email would follow with details, but to call if I did not receive it. I did not receive and called the following day - spoke to Rebecca again, confirmed all details (including the rate) and she said she would send again. I still did not get an email. I should have pursued, but gave her the benefit of the doubt (and I needed the room). A few days before I was scheduled to arrive, a hold appears on my credit card for a much larger amount than quoted. I called to reconfirm the rate, assuming that they were just holding more than the room amount. Again, Rebecca answers and tells me that the rate for the room is $185, because it is parent's weekend. She remembered talking to me, but claimed that she did not make the reservation. When I protested that the quoted amount was 79.99, she said - if you want the room it is the higher rate, then HUNG UP on me. Completely unprofessional. Obviously she lied from the beginning, which is likely why she never sent the email. Funny thing is, I expected a high rate when I called - and would have agreed to the $185. I DO NOT appreciate being lied to and hung up on. My take away - there are many other reputable hotels/motels/inns in College Station, avoid Americas Best Value Inn.

Really nice for price This motel was really clean inside despite its age. Its seems like it would be crappy by the looks of it but i was impressed by the looks of the inside. Wall were freshly painted and the floor was clean. It had a nice restroom. I did not like the toilet though. They were clean but to low. It was nice for the price.
