Comfort Suites South Park

A new Marriott is going up next door This is an older motel. It has only only one elevator for five floors and is very slow. The lights are out on the panels in the hall so you never know if it is coming or not. Usually a long wait. (How did the management (and city) city allow only one elevator?). The rooms are antiquated but no open windows. Heating and cooling is pretty hard to adjust. Bed was OK, Small Pillows. The bathroom has either mold or rust growing at the bottom of the bathtub and along the baseboards. There were tines to secure the carpet to the floor in our room. (Ouch!) So put a towel over them to save your toes. The TV is by “RCA”. It is slow and there is volume limiter that prevents it from bringing the volume up past a whisper. They list many channels on a sign next to the TV, BUT most are not available. The Pool area is full of construction equipment placed on plywood over the pool area. The safe is locked by key. There was no key. We tried to check in that the computers were “down”, so we were told to give our credit card the next morning. In the morning we were told out credit card was not needed. When we checked out the conputers were “down” They have a housekeeping plan where, if they say that if they find you something from the room you have to pay for it. We got into our room and there was no clock. Of course since one enters the room and find something missing and report it, they can therefore “assume” you took the clock. Quite the racket. There is little parking and the it was always full. A new Marriott is going up next door, it should open in weeks. Go there.

Would stay here again This was a good hotel for a stop along I95. It is less than 1/2 mile from the exit and in an area with many shops/restaurants and gas stations. We arrived after 11pm for check in and were greeted with two wonderful staff members, Ne and Daisy, they were so helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is fine. The lobby was nice and I appreciated the little details like the stuffed bear and helpful signage. The room was nice as well. It was clean and the beds were good. Overall this hotel is a good option if you are looking for a place to stop on a drive along I95.

Bad Stay Experience I’m writing you on behalf of my father (disabled veteran) who stayed at your hotel last week from 6/13 to 6/17. Reservation #68851288. He traveled from PR to VA for his grandson graduation. He mentioned that during his stay on his first day he was switch from room 300 to 200. Both rooms were having water pressure issues. Then he was assigned to room 400 because first floor was booked. He is in a wheelchair and the hotel didn’t have the resources to provide reasonable accommodations. Then, a storm hit the city really bad in the afternoon of Friday 6/16 which cause power outage the entire city including this hotel. The hotel was without power until next day due to storm and he was putting in a regular room on first floor with couple flash light. I left a personal message with front desk last Saturday morning and I haven’t heard from them yet, today is Monday. He always chooses this hotel when he comes to town. Unfortunately, this time he didn’t had a good experience and he will not come back again.

Exceptional service My husband and I were considering a room at the Southpark hotel and were served by Kam. He was a delight! He offered a senior discount which helped much on the rate. When our room was not ready, he immediately found a better room to accommodate us. We were grateful and impressed by the service! When we left early the following morning my husband inadvertently left his cell phone in the room. After calling the hotel Kam answered the phone. He swiftly ran up to the room to look for it....and did find it and kept it safe. We were able to arrange for a friend still in town to pick it up. Throughout our stay and even beyond, Kam could not be more pleasant or accommodating to us. He went beyond the call of duty. Sure, he was performing his job, but he did so with great enthusiasm and a wonderful attitude it made staying@ this hotel chain well.

Awesome customer experience I wanted to write you to express my appreciation for your front desk employee, Kam. I have stayed with you several times over the past few months, and every time I have had the occasion to interact with Kam, I have been impressed by his amazing customer service and engaging personality. I have repeatedly witnessed him going the extra mile, for myself and other patrons, to ensure that our stay is comfortable from check-in to check-out. I am a small business owner, and working on the road for extended periods can be very stressful. It is very important to have a hotel that feels welcoming and relaxing, and Kam's attitude sets that tone perfectly. You are fortunate to have him as an employee, and it is this above-and-beyond work ethic that makes this my preferred hotel when I'm staying in the area. Thank you for a fantastic experience!
