Good enough Location - not much around in the immediate area but I chose the location because it was just a short drive to Garden of Gods and the Paint Mines Interpretive Park (I recommend both for hiking!). A pleasant surprise was a 10 min walk to a sports park where you could get watch a nice sunset. Also, a short walk to a quaint tasty Korean restaurant. Rooms - could be cleaner. Amenities - was told the pool and hot tub was closed. A real bummer as the Holiday Inn was chosen because we wanted the hot tub after a day of hiking. Staff - friendly Breakfast - I opted for the breakfast package which only consisted of scrambled eggs, potatoes, and bacon one day and sausage the next day. Just a 3-item breakfast. Not even toast!

Bad food great bed Lied to over and over. No pool, No tv listing's, no breakfast included as stated on web site, no hot tub, no newspaper, no 24 hr shuttle service as stated in web site, landline phone, busted shower, food poisoning our first night from terrible prepared food, no ice machine, and finally no change machine in laundry. The people working there were very nice, maids took great care of rooms, close to airport was a plus.

Loved Pike’s Peak View If I were basing my stay solely on being able to look out and see Pike’s Peak rating would be Excellent but have to factor everything else in. Property is close to airport and right next to a HI Express & Suites. There is no complimentary breakfast however there is restaurant on property as well as a 24 hour convenience store and two convenience stores with gas a short drive away. Did see a shuttle van but never saw it with guests coming or going in it. Room was good sized with shower/tub in bathroom that is on smaller size and has an interesting configuration. Refrigerator and microwave, elevator, good selection of channels and working wi-if. Lobby area was clean and staff were friendly. Pool and exercise center were closed for remodeling, noted other areas of remodeling only never saw anyone working or any changes. Did smell marijuana smoke in hallway and elevator but probably out of staff’s control. My suggestions for improvement would be have a safe that works in room, add extra blanket to closet, repair or fill potholes in parking lot, fix the sign when driving in (looks like someone beat on it) and maybe freshen up areas outside to make it look a little more welcoming than guests wondering if property is closing or changing ownership.

Nice, clean hotel but breakfast a problem. The hotel is remodeled and the rooms are clean and comfortable. However, if breakfast is important to you on the road as it is for many travelers, this hotel has a problem that needs fixing. Breakfast is advertised as free for some guests. It isn't. I ended up paying $12 with tip, $7 for the breakfast itself because basics like cereal and orange juice are not included incredibly. In addition, guests have to through the hasdle of asking for a coupon each morning when the desk clerks are often busy. Why not just hand out the coupons at checkin? In addition, the breakfast service was incredibly slow even though at 6.30 a.m., I was the only person in the restaurant. Because of the hassle, for the rest of my stay, I just skipped the free breakfast that wasn't free.

Long Business Week with Little Sleep My stay was arranged by my work team and can't say I was impressed. The entire hotel smelled of cleaner trying to overcome mold/mildew/smoke underlying issues. Reminded me a room my wife had to leave a different hotel for because it caused her to cough. Made me nearly nauseous. Bed was not very comfotable and I did not sleep well all 6 nights I had to stay there. Fitness room was very small and was missing some weights. It was odd that complementary coffee was only put out M-F and nothing on Saturday morning. This is a hotel I could stay in again ina pinch, but not one I would stay in again for a week. The Holiday Inn Express next door would have been a better option.
