Great room, good price and friendly staff I see some of the people have written negative reviews on this place and I kind of get it but think there is more to the story. The hotel might not be perfect if you like spotless grounds and prefer a first-class location. It's a little rough here with a few homeless and aimless wanderers but NOT dangerous. I was a little confused when I drove up as it looks like an apartment/condo complex. Thats what it is. My room is huge, and I could totally live in here. There is a small kitchen with full sized kitchen, stove, microwave, dishes etc. There is a nice living room area and spacious bathroom. It's the best room I have had in quite some time. There are restaurants in close walking distance and parking is great. When I checked in the staff was charming and I felt good about being here. I've got another day here and think I am going to leave with good memories.

Do Not stay here. BEWARE! The pictures online must be from 20 years ago. Yes similar but this place is in need of a desperate renovation. The day I checked in is the day I checked out. I wish I would’ve taken some pictures but we were in a hurry to get out of there. It was dark and the area a little sketchy. They are outside rooms with direct outside access and the lobby is in its own building. Checked the sheets they were dirty and stained. Carpet stained. Bathroom eh. The gal working said 3 other people did the same thing that day. We were number 4. They would not refund my stay. The gal working did, but next day I was contacted and they refused it.

Lovely staff, comfortable stay, suited our needs I was there recently for a National Climbing competition with college students. There were 5 of us to a suite w/loft Room 724. To begin the staff was wonderful. They were so kind and always greeted us with a smile including the maintenance staff. They helped me get an extra large pot, baking sheet and parchment paper so I could cook a large meal and always made sure if we needed anything extra towels or something at breakfast, they helped us and again, always with a smile. The reason for 4 stars is that the hotel itself is run down. But pros first: Pro: For the most part it was clean (ex: no spider webs or dust, clean bedding, towels, counters), most beds were comfy (see cons for one bed comment), kitchen was stocked with dish sets for 6 and we had just what we needed to cook. The kitchen worked out well. They lent us a basket ball that we signed out and they had cornhole. Just ask the front desk for the bean bags and balls. Cons: One of the queen beds was shorter then the other in the dbl room and needs a mattress replacement. It was not comfy like the other beds. One bedroom door had a large crack on it where it looked like someone did a karate chop on it to open the bedroom door. The tubs filled with water as soon as you turned it on so you stood in a foot of water by the time you finished showering. The kitchen sink also got clogged easily. There was a large stain that looked like a volley ball size grease stain on the couch. Stain on the ceiling, most likely from water/snow damage. We needed some light bulbs replaced but I forgot to tell the front desk. Grounds need a pick me up but we are just coming into spring so hopefully they plant flowers soon to brighten the grounds or coorporate should replace the planters with artwork. Recommendation to corporate: Please update the furniture (not just mattresses) and give the hotels more funds to do upgrades. Bathrooms also need a renovation. New tubs are needed and not just a fresh paint job. Please give maintenance a larger budget so they can do their jobs to full customer satisfaction.

Lacking Maintenance The staff was nice, but the lack of a maintenance program is catching up to the place. We reported no air conditioning the first day we got there and they never did fix it. I pulled off the filter over the AC unit inside because the build up was so bad, the fan could hardly blow any air. Likely had not been changed in years. A leaking sink in the upstairs filled the cabinet with water and soaked the floor. The leak was on the wrong side of the shut off valve so there was nothing I could do but report it. The grounds are not regularly cleaned, nor is the pool maintained. If all you need is a place with one bathroom (we needed two), I suggest looking elsewhere. As an FYI, we had to book this place last second because the house we had rented was sold and the old owners failed to mention that until the day before our arrival.

F- This hotel is rundown and dilapidated. All of the painted surfaces are faded and flaking. The grounds contain beer bottles, coke bottles, and other trash. When we arrived, we noticed the pool was very cloudy, with a yellowish layer of slime on the surface. I requested that they shock and adjust the Ph, which they did the following day, but once the pool water was clear, we could then see how much dirt was sitting at the bottom of the pool. We then asked if they wouldn't mind vacuuming up the dirt. Our unit, 622, was filthy. We cleaned what we could, but the dirt on the furniture, carpets, and walls remained. Our next-door neighbor smoked outside every day and littered the area with butts. I am surprised smoking is allowed on the premises. The first morning I had to move my card because one of the tenants began painting his car using spray paint cans; he ended up painting the entire vehicle. Our room backed up to Academy Blvd, which would not be a problem, but the windows at this property are so flimsy that you can clearly hear everything outside when fully closed. The property owner is a slum lord who has given up on upkeep and is content collecting rent from the people who find the place acceptable. This is evident by the number of permanent residents that reside here. So if you decide to book a stay here, you'll basically be renting a room at a rundown apartment complex. We booked a 5-night stay but canceled after the first night due to the hideous conditions, so we stayed two full nights. The photos you see online do not, AT ALL, represent what the property looks like today in 2022! The sad part is that the staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating, from the front desk to the maintenance guys. This was our first and last stay at a Sonesta property.
