Very disappointing stay with no sleep. We stayed at Boarders Inn in Suites on July 21. first we were traveling to upper peninsula Michigan. The night we stayed at this hotel, they obviously had some kind of bachelor party. It was very very loud at 12:55 AM. I finally called the front desk to complain about the noise. The person that answered, went up and tried to quiet them down. Within 10 minutes they were making noise again and went until three in the morning. We got no sleep. Complained to the front desk the next morning she told me I had to talk to the manager/owner. called him on Monday and talk to him basically got nowhere. He was supposed to get back to me and it’s two weeks later and nothing. We should’ve had at least half of our room charge refunded. Beware that the owner/manager Kal does not care about his guests at all. We will never stay in one of these hotels again. Very disappointing stay.

Don’t trust your reservation! Out of 4 reservations made for a family event, 100% were lost! One of our family members had to book and stay 15 miles away when they went to check in after a long trip to get to Columbus and their reservation did not exist. I had three rooms reserved and luckily called a sat before arrival to be told I had no reservation. I was able to rebook 2 rooms for the first night and add the third for the second night. We had a large family event in Columbus- this is the only motel in town. I believe all the poor reservation protocol is due to one man, possibly the owner. We even had a room paid, and the party in the room, and he called me to say one of my parties never checked in. Can’t make this stuff up! If you can actually get a room, the property has had a bit of a renovation and is okay to stay at. No aspect over the top, but we were reasonably comfortable. Food, beverages, entertainment all located near motel.

What you pay is what you get Spent one night thankfully at this hotel. It’s a former Super 8 with little work done to it. Says it’s no smoking but the room smelt of smoke. Not all the lights in the room worked, a mirror had obviously been ripped off the bathroom door and no attempt to fix it, there was even another door in the room that was locked and led to who knows where. Room looked like it had thermostat controlled heat / AC, no it wasn’t functional or operational just had an old wall unit. Breakfast was limited at best, the pool looked dirty, and the breakfast room was more like a storage room. Exterior doors didn’t lock at night and they had an old box spring in the second floor stairwell. Stay clear of this place. Pay more more for a good hotel and peace of mind. Nothing says welcome on the front door like fees, warnings, and rules. A complete shambles.

Worst motel stay ever We can without a doubt say this was the worst motel we've ever stayed at. We are brand-loyal to Cobblestone Hotels, always very nice properties and experience, but this Boarders by Cobblestone was bad from beginning to end. First, it's in an industrial park. The grounds are dirty, the motel is dirty, especially around the entrance. Entry doors have to be pulled shut. The pool bottom has staining of some sort so the water looks dirty. The pool edge is dirty all around. They also start you off right by assuming you're a criminal who will steal anything and everything in the room from them. A sign adorns the room with a list of penalties for every possible offense. That was definitely a first with a Cobblestone-affiliated property, actually any property ever. Properly cleaned? The bed appeared as if someone merely pulled up the covers from the prior stay and piled the pillows at the headboard. Never seen anything like it in a hotel. The sheets and cover were still so messy it looked like one or more people had been sitting on it before we arrived. Towels were hung messily above the toilet and the TV remote was not with the TV, rather with a broken down recliner that had been pulled out into the middle of the room. Oddest thing ever. So things definitely seemed off, but we didn't add it all together until the morning when we found one regular coffee pack in a king room and the shower was bone dry. We turned and pulled the lever every which way we could think, but nothing worked. Went to the front desk and a young man in his "work uniform" (graphic T-shirt and ball cap worn backwards) said he didn't know anything, including showers, but the day manager was coming in an hour and a half. So he texted the day manager, we assumed, and gave us another coffee pack. We couldn't take showers, so we had to wash our hair and faces in the sink. Worst excuse for a breakfast was next. Reconstituted grainy "scrambled eggs" of some sort with nasty steamed sausages, all served on the cheapest paper plates imaginable. Of course the sausage grease soaked right through and left a big slick on the table. Good coffee, but tiny styrofoam cups added to the bad joke. The theme of everything bad carries throughout this place. The day manager did finally arrive at 8:00, and was very nice, but he hadn't heard anything from the kid, and just like him, knew nothing about how the showers work. We went back with the manager to the room and fiddled with the shower until together we stumbled on a fix. At least the day manager now knows how to help someone with the shower. We just encourage you or no one else to ever go to this Boarders to ask how. Oh, and by the way, this is merely a rebranded Super 8 Motel. Still has the Super 8 sign on the inside of the room door. Seriously. Cobblestone is hurting its brand by keeping this property as a Boarders. Let the owner take it back to being a Super 8 Motel where it obviously belongs. Repeat, worst motel stay ever.

No longer a Super 8. The property has gone through a change in ownership. They are continuing to update the rooms, lots of furniture stacked in the lobby. Breakfast left a little to be desired. Staff is pleasant and the rooms were clean.
