Fees 2 weeks later Waited 3.5 hours after the 400 check in time for a room! Didn’t get into a room until 730 at night. We got a cabana for one day. The lady at the front desk booked it. We checked out next day and was told we had a balance due of 58.90 so we paid it. We had a lot of credit due to switching dates we were scheduled to go. Two weeks later I get a text message stating we still have a balance that needs to be paid. Called and spoke two 3 different incompetent people that could not tell me why we were told we only had a balance of 58.90 and two weeks later we now have a new balance of 150.00. Spoke to supervisor and she stated that the lady that booked the cabana never took our card but couldn’t give me reasons why it was never charged until 2 weeks later. The whole trip was problem after problem. Short staffed and incompetent workers.

Overpriced and underwhelming The indoor water park area is hot and So. Very. Loud! Yikes. Silicon/ moldeable ear plugs are great for those who can use them but our 3.5 yo really struggled with being overstimulated. (The outdoor pool was a balm but was only really an option since we got lucky and the weather wasn’t that hot out.) Everything is pretty outdated and hokey (especially the animatronics - double yikes!) and definitely overpriced. The buffet dinner was the same every night - I would’ve expected at least something different as we were there over the weekend - could they do Italian one night then Mexican the other? (I am grateful my kiddo ate for free at the buffet!) Our room was a nice reprieve but I will say the bathroom light was connected to the vent (all or nothing) and the vent sounded like a jetplane taking off - more overstimulus Eek. And yes - the constant never ceasing and unwavering MUSIC was too much! Overall I think one night would’ve been more than enough. If we ever go back (I’m not saying I ever will tbh) I would say one night max, eat dinners out, and try to avoid paying THE DAILY RATE for parking (which even overnight guests pay!)

Stay somewhere else book a day pass Taught not to criticize condemn or complain. My review to travelers is to book a hotel nearby and buy day pass. Hotel is pricey house staff doesn't speak English on the room floors and just overall not worth the price they are charging for the rent. The water park for a 10-year-old visiting for London was great but even he said next time granddaddy let's stay at a Marriott and book a day pass. Any order of fries was 8 bucks so we went elsewhere to eat. Management should review the whole check in process confusing chaos at front desk at 4 pm. Couldn't get out of the parking lot gate without help and daily parking is 20 bucks. Parking and coffee is free at Marriott nearby. Kids loved the water park. My 10-year-old grandson even said fold out couch mattress is very uncomfortable. Yet he would come back for the water park. Hope this helps those trying to decide whether to stay there for the hotel experience. Found it pricey and not up this standard.

Disappointing Experience Hidden Fees, Charge Attempts & Overpriced Everything I will never return to Great Wolf Lodge. The entire experience felt like a cash grab with very little value. First, they charge for parking—something that’s not clearly disclosed upfront. Then they quietly removed features from the $79.99 pass just to upsell the $99.99 version. If you haven’t been before, you wouldn’t know what you’re missing. On top of that, there were unauthorized attempts to charge my card after I had already settled my bill. I was told no additional charges would be made, yet I saw attempted charges that didn’t even match the agreed amounts. That’s shady and unacceptable. The water park itself is extremely humid like a mold trap waiting to happen. If you’ve never been, you wouldn’t realize how unpleasant that can be. My room was dirty upon arrival, and the whole place felt poorly maintained. The food? Far from fresh and wildly overpriced. If you’re looking for a clean, transparent, family friendly getaway this ain’t it. Spend your money somewhere that respects both your wallet and your time.
