Great but Sad!! Great clean hotel! Everything was great and the housekeeping staff do an excellent job and everyone was so nice! Unfortunately, my niece lost her stuffed turtle, green with yellow belly in the sheet in room 208. She has had him since she was a baby and it was the first toy she could hold at 8 months old, she has special needs and has had him for support for many of procedures and surgery at Duke’s Children hospital. She named him “Kyle” and he is part of the family, let us know if you find him!__

A best place in Conover! My company booked the room for me, but they had no idea they put me in the perfect hotel for me and my service dog Grover! Everyone was very helpful and friendly. They have the absolute perfect place to take Grover beside the hotel. It’s a beautiful grassy area fenced so I could let him wander. The breakfast was always hot and tasty. They even had cookies in the evening for the guests. The room was big and very clean. It was a nice hotel to lay your head and relax. If you ever have occasion to visit this area, you would be smart to stay here.

Needs better housekeeping I stayed my first and last time. The bathroom floor was filthy with used Qtip stuck to side of wall, dirt in sink from work being done on water system and dirt in the floor. Water and dirt had backed up in sink and wasn't cleaned out. While the water was turned off during specific hours and floors could not be mopped, they could have at least vacuumed them or used bottled water. Also found nail clippings in bedroom floor. Carpet had not been vacuumed. Manager apologized, said this was unusual and comped my room. The manager was very nice about it. I moved to another hotel for the next night. I hope this was a one-time occurrence because it is a nice hotel with nice staff.

One of the best HIs One of the best Holiday Inns I've been to recently. Friendly staff, new recently renovated Holiday Inn design and style, clean room and bathroom, quiet with good sleep quality, decent breakfast. Recommend.

Clean, Close to I-40 Seems like a brand new Holiday Inn Express close to I-40. Clean, quiet and friendly front desk. It’d be better if they’d move the smoking area farther from right outside the front door, as every time we went out, there seemed to be three or four people sitting on a bench blowing smoke that was making its way into the lobby because of the automatic doors. Would certainly stay there again, though. And Sweet Taters next door was good for a Southern-style home cooked meal.
