Don't Stay Here I'm all about saving money and staying at quirky, cheaper motels, but this was the grossest and scariest place I've ever stayed at. Apparently part of the hotel caught fire over a year ago, and still stands dilapidated. Pool was very green and dirty. The chain lock to our door was busted off, and our door handle and deadbolt didn't quite fit the door right. Our balcony door was also broken and couldn't be opened. If I wouldn't have lost all of my money for a late cancelation, we would have immediately left. I would advise against staying here.

Don't know where to start I was thinking about turning around and finding another motel after I saw what I was pulling into. By the swimming pool there was a burnt motel rooms that where still standing. The room that I had was clean, but the bathtub needed mending. It didn't want to drain and the smell of the water coming out of the sink smelted like sewer. The balcony was a little scary. The view was pretty. Didn't do the breakfast, because of the water smelling bad. The swimming pool was okay a lot of chlorine in it. But my great nephew enjoyed swimming in it. All in all the motel did not stand up to the website with the looks of the place. The king-size bed was comfortable and the sheets where clean, the top cover had stains on it. Couldn't lock the bathroom door or the door to the balcony . Even my 6 year old nephew said that the place needs a lot of work. If I wouldn't have paid already I would have left and found a place that I would have felt safe in and was at least able to brush my teeth with out having to buy bottle water. The mangers or people running the place was nice and friendly. Would I stay there again??? That would be a Hell No.

Small roaches all over, a joke for breakfast, the worst customer service from the Hindu lady I don't know where to start...We arrived at night around 11pm and the young man was nice but not enthusiast about welcoming new guests. He did ok, and he was kind during the check-in process. Then, we got to our rooms and even though the place is old, it had good/comfortable beds...So far, everything was ok. Then, in the restroom, we found small roaches walking all over the tub...yuck! I killed them, and kept myself positive...So we spent the first night, we slept comfortably and we woke up early to be able to see the dawn through the balcony facing the beach. Then, in the restroom again, more tiny roaches walking all over the wall and tub area...that was a complete disappointment, but we said..."oh well, let's take off, and do our planned activities"...So, we went downstairs to have some of the "free breakfast" included...It was 9am, and the lady at the reception office (Hindu, skinny, long hair in a pony tail) was rude, did not say good morning, she seemed to be talking to someone on the phone, she was wearing headphones, and then she walked toward the breakfast area and started putting all breakfast items away in an aggressive and rude manner. This lady never asked if we wanted anything before she put everything away, and did not answer to our "good mornings" some of my friends were Spanish speaking tourists, and she simply ignored them completely, making them feel unwelcomed and discriminated. I was shocked for her attitude, her lack of customer service was unbelievable! It's not our fault that she has something against Hispanics, she was nice to other Anglo Americans that walked in before us though. Her attitude was so un-American, unethical, and uncalled for. Then, our second night stay happened, and again tiny roaches walking all over the tub and restroom floor...We were disgusted by this and we even found a live roach in the refrigerator. I would not recommend this old place full of roaches, with a joke for breakfast including coffee and cold cereal only, rude receptionist (who surprisingly had a slightly better attitude the next morning), and no elevator for older adults. How unfortunate that this place has a nice location close to the beach with still beach view (there will be construction blocking this very soon)...I would definitely NOT recommend this place due to the mentioned issues found (roaches, poor breakfast, bad customer service). The positive aspects include the view, the swimming pool and the distance to the beach, convenience store and Fajitaville restaurant.

Worst hotel of our 2 month road trip I usually read reviews and I think I did on this one, but I must've been reading between the lines when the reviews said it was not that great. Maybe my desire to be on the beach colored my decision. Worst place we stayed on our whole 2 month trip. We were on the third floor with a nice view of the beach. But there was no elevator and the outside stairs were narrow and kind of creaky. A million coats of paint could not hide how badly this place needs to be demolished and a new hotel built. The location is amazing with a cool view of the USS Lexington and the beach and other fun attractions. But the room was old, old, old with a very old and not so clean bathroom, the door barely locked and was coming off it's hinges. The smoke alarm was hanging by one wire. The curtain on the slider didn't work and the balcony was beyond gross. I wouldn't walk out there with bare feet. The king bed was good, surprisingly. The breakfast was a joke - cold cereal and coffee - that's it. The very nice receptionist said she had to work two jobs at two different hotels to make ends meet, so I'm not criticizing that but the other people at the desk during the 2 nights we were there were less than motivated to be friendly or helpful. Please, tear this place down and start over. At $110 a night, it was one of the more expensive places we stayed but in the worst condition. This place was no bargain and really a sad representation of what Corpus Christi has to offer.
