Big Rooms This is a nice enough hotel. Some positives, some negatives. The rooms themselves are nicely furnished and paper to have been updated recently. King suites are significantly larger but are as bright…same light set up as the standard room. It appears that some of the maintenance issues noted in other reviews are being addressed but there are still things that are pretty obvious. Pool and fitness center are still closed. Hotel ran out of coffee pods…3 days ago. Maybe they ran out of shower gel too, ran out of that too and hasn’t been replaced/ filled even after letting the front desk know. Bright spot was a really nice member of the housekeeping crew found a couple of pods for me on the second day of no coffee…above and beyond. I would come back because it’s a good value and the rooms are nice with the expectation that more of the maintenance and operating issues are addressed

Not recommended There is loud music and kids screaming. WTF! Worst experience ever. Not highly recommended. Place to get a good night sleep. What kind of place is this. I’m on a business trip and I need to get some sleep. They didn’t tell me an even was going on.

Beware and be warned. Do NOT book a room here. Booking scammer called Room 77 posed as the hotel, added multiple charges as well as an unwanted "free" trial membership to Global Privileges. Room nonrefundable unless you paid an additional $30+. Even if you avoid the online and phone reservation scammers and actually get IHG reservations they still will charge you for one night if you choose to cancel. Either way, you lose. Pool closed 9/2023 due to high levels of bacteria and no notice on website. Fitness room closed and no notice on website Most elevators not working and no notice on website. Pleasantview fire protection out of service and no notice on website. After checking in, had to go to 3 rooms on 3 separate floors to find one with a working phone, tv, and heating/cooling unit. Final room- no working bathroom light unless breaker repeatedly pressed. Room card not working well. Coffee maker not working. BEDBUGS and many bug bites. Lived in La Grange for many years and have very fond memories of a very nice hotel at one time. Shame on you IHG.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE-BANK FRAUD I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. I am a platinum elite member of IHG and have NEVER experienced such horrible customer service from a hotel. My issue began on Saturday, April 20th. I called the hotel at 7am EST when I noticed the hotel had authorized my account for $350.44. This authorization was AFTER I cancelled the rooms on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. I spoke with Bre who told me she would have her manager call me upon his arrival and stated he would be in by 9am CST. I called the hotel back at 10am CST after not hearing from the manager and was told by Xavier that Bre had no idea what she was talking about because management doesn't work on the weekends. I proceeded to email the hotel email frontdesk@hicountryside.com explaining my concerns as well as attaching the cancellation emails sent to me by HOLIDAY INN on the day I cancelled my reservations. Xavier confirmed he received the email and promised he would have a manager contact me on Monday morning. It is now Monday, April 22, 2024 at 6pm EST and I have yet to hear from a manager as to why this has happened. The IHG reservation team took my confirmation numbers and cancellation numbers and agreed I cancelled the reservations and shouldn't have been charged. Yet, no one can tell me why I was still charged for the hotel or when a refund will be issued. I sent another email to the front desk with no response. I just waited on hold for PAUL THE MANAGER for 20 minutes before someone returned to the phone and said he was gone. This is AWFUL customer service and extremely scary considering how much money I spend on a weekly basis with IHG hotels. As I mentioned, I am an Elite Platinum Member. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY WRONG. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. If management is unable to resolve issues in a timely manner and afraid of fixing mistakes, they can't possibly give you a decent stay. Customer service is ALWAYS the most important rule in business. I don't care how busy a hotel claims to be. Paul could have taken 3 minutes out of his day to return the call and at least let me know he is working at resolving the issue.
