Wonderfully Updated Marriott Convenient to Parkway North, I-79, and Restaurants I stayed at this Marriott for one night on a business trip. It is so nice being able to travel for business again. I also have family in the North Hills area, so it was convenient for that, too. If I had to guess, I would say the hotel was at about 50% occupancy. The hotel staff was helpful when I called with questions prior to my visit. There is plenty of free parking. Check in was easy. As luck would have it, I was there the first day fully vaccinated guests were allowed to go maskless on the property. Being fully vaccinated, I very much appreciated this change in policy. I was given a newly renovated room on the 6th floor. Maybe because I have not travelled for business a lot this year, but I was blown away by the room. It really had a modern and fresh feel to it. The bathroom had a huge walk-in shower and plenty of counter space and storage. There was a sliding frosted glass door on the bathroom which was very chic. The closet area was open with a 2 drawer cabinet that doubled as a luggage holder (it had a padded top). That made it convenient to hang up what needed to be hung up and keep the rest in my suitcase. There was also a good size mini fridge, along with coffee maker. The TV was huge and set in a recess in the wall which gave it a streamlined look. It was perfect for watching the Penguins game that night. The desk area also was sleek with several outlets. The WIFI was fast. The bed stand area also had plenty of outlets. There was also a stylish couch/recliner combo with side table. The HVAC unit worked well as it was in the 90s during my stay. The fitness center had 2 ellipticals, 2 bikes, and 3 treadmills, along with a leg press machine and a universal type weight machine. There were also mats, free weights, towels, sanitizing wipes, etc. The elliptical I used worked very well, including the attached TV. The pool is adjacent to the fitness center and looked nice. Everything I saw appeared to be clean in the hotel. There is still some construction off the lobby. I ate lunch the following day at Juniper's, which is less than 1/2 mile from the hotel. I HIGHLY recommend Juniper's for lunch or dinner. The service was excellent, there was a creative menu (the grilled fish sandwich was delicious), and nice ambiance (although it doesn't look like much from the outside as it is located in a strip mall type setting). This Marriott is convenient for anyone who is looking to stay in the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh. It is convenient to downtown, but one has to keep in mind that Pittsburgh traffic is notorious (and I speak this as a native Pittsburgher). I definitely plan to stay here again when we visit Pittsburgh later in the summer for a Pirates game and to visit family.

Nice updated property but stop allowing dogs._ Larger regular Marriott recently updated rooms and lobby. About 275 rooms and busy on a summer weekend. On a negative note they allow dogs_ which I find disgusting and unacceptable for a Marriott. They need to discontinue this immediately. The Marriott is not a kennel. Otherwise an okay stay. Good breakfast. Stay on the south side in a room not facing noisy Rt. 228 - 6 lanes. Windows are commercial noise reduction but you can still hear loud vehicles.

Nice hotel. Might not be a good value. No recognition for Bonvoy status. Our room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable but the lack of complimentary breakfast makes this hotel both a poor value and inconvenient. Beware: wifi may not be free! We got free wifi because we booked on the Bonvoy site but wifi would be expensive if you don’t qualify for free. Attendant was extremely rude at checkin; on top of being surely, she did not address the wifi issue so I had to call down when we saw the charge. She was rude on that call too. If staff don’t want to answer questions about wifi access, they should hand guests something at checkin—or management can make wifi free for all guests like is standard at hotels of this price. We got no recognition or perks for being Bonvoy Gold status—including failure to award our welcome bonus or to thank us.

Good stop Nice clean place located conveniently near shopping, restaurants and I-79. I do wish they had a complimentary breakfast for all guests. We ended up grabbing our own on the way out. The staff were helpful and friendly, facilities clean and room comfortably simple.

A work in progress As others have mentioned, this hotel is udner rennovation. I would expect it to be very nice was complete. I was lucky enough to end up in a recently renovated room and it was very nice. The hotel itself has plenty of dining options nearby and was a very safe area. The M Lounge is weird. Said it was open on weekdays but the attendant said she was the only one working so she essentially set the hours? Assuming you can get a renovated room, I would recommend.
