Excellent Resort We loved the Sapphire. The views of the Caribbean were simply breathtaking. The unit was very spacious and comfortable. The staff are super amazing and friendly. Marsha was very knowledgeable and helpful. Ramona and Veronique were very friendly and made awesome drinks and food. We made many friends there and will be returning again next year. This place is more than a resort, it is like a second home and the staff are more like a second family.

Poor accommodations Staff was very friendly and helpful but building is very old and falling apart. Microwave did not work. fridge stopped working and all our food spoiled. AC unit was leaking and barely cooled the room. Electricity went out daily for at least 2 hours per day twice a day. Apparently there is an issue on the Dutch side of the island with generators but we were not told this when we booked the trip. Poor lighting in the room, not enough mirrors. Elevators barely worked. Getting fresh linens was an issue.

Disappointed - should not have a RCI silver crown rating We traded through RCI. RCI rated this a silver crown, so I disregarded the poor reviews I read, and figured they were just extra picky people. We added 3 nights to our trip by staying at Sapphire before checking into a week long trade at another place. All 4 of us (2 adults, and 2 teens) said the beds and pillows were the best we can remember having at a timeshare trade! The sleeper sofa was 2 separate mattresses, so that was a nice surprise. The room was very clean, but not well maintained unfortunately - it just needed simple things like fixing missing grout, caulking and painting, but since that hadn't been done it looks very run down. Also the air conditioning did not work well, so the room was barely cooler than outside (and that was before the daily 2 hour power outage). The room air conditioning did not dehumidify at all, so the tile floors were always wet. There is no ventilation in the bathroom so it was extra hot in there. There was no shower curtain, just a shower head over the open bathtub. Note, there is not an electrical outlet in the bathroom. You can trade pool towels at the front desk, but half the time we tried to do so during towel hours, they did not have clean towels to trade us. The beach area at Sapphire is really small, and only accessible at low tide. The pool water was always cloudy. We came to visit all the beaches, so we didn’t mind since we used our rental car to drive around the island. The back up generator only worked 1 of the 3 days we were there, so the 2 days it wasn’t working the elevators were not able to be used when the power went out for 2 hours each day - my kids were terrified of getting stuck in it when the power went out, but thankfully that never happened, but we did have a near miss when the power went out 5 minutes after we got off the elevator and the back up generator did not come on! I was surprised this was a silver crown. It's very run down looking, and just needs some basic maintenance to look much better.

Villa-best hotel ever This review is specific to the deluxe villa at Sapphire Beach Club Resort. This might have been one of the worst rooms we’ve ever been to at a resort but was certainly the best. That doesn’t make sense? Let me explain The bad…horrible plumbing. There are 3 bathrooms. Two upstairs and one downstairs. There must have been a clog in the upstairs pipe. The upstairs toilets did not flush right and the upstairs shower accumulates water. The downstairs bathroom worked fine so we used that. Also the hot water heater was poor. Barely enough hot water for one shower Goodly number of ants/other bugs The shower floor was mosaic tile. About a third of the tiles were missing. There were permanent stains on the tile floor throughout the villa. The paint was coming off chairs so when you sat on them your bottom got covered in paint chips. The living room furniture was cheap and uncomfortable. Sound like a nightmare? Nope. It was glorious! Look at the pictures. Your own private pool on a VERY VERY private deck. Inches from the beach. Inches. Because the deck is elevated, it’s impossible to see your deck from the (almost always deserted/rocky) beach. As you lie in bed you hear every wave hit the rocks. So soothing. You WILL NOT find an Oceanside pool villa with TOTAL privacy for twice the price. Trust me I looked. There are some famous all inclusive resorts that advertise pool rooms or villas. They cost thousands more AND either…face each other (gack no privacy) or face the jungle (I came to the tropics for the ocean!) or are isolated Airbnb’s. This resort has a bar where you get 2 for 1 drinks at happy hour (we loaded up at happy hour and put extra frozen drinks in the freezer in our villa). 2 mudslides for $7! Also the A/C was ice cold. We’ve stay at 5 star resorts with poor A/C. If you want picture perfect keep looking. If you want to float in your own PRIVATE pool for hours drinking strong drinks while the ocean laps inches away with the love of your life for less than half of what it would cost to have a lesser experience anywhere else…book a villa here immediately

Sapphire Beach Club villa The Sapphire Beach Club villa needs a lot of maintenance work. The tower was much nicer (stayed there in the past). Things have really changed. The bar used to be open later in the evening. Now it closes around 8:00 p.m. Everyone who works there is really nice, friendly,
