The Heroic Tale of Gable This review couldn’t have been possible without Gable. He was nothing but cordial, kind, and funny the entire time. Me and my friend had stayed at multiple hotels across the country on our cross-country trip, and Gable was the only one that wasn’t crude or nasty to us. Gable went through the effort to check extra breakfast times when we woke up late, and even told us that we could grab fruit or yogurt before we left, instead of just saying that breakfast was closed. He even printed our card to let us fetch an important item from our room after we checked out when we forgot, and was more than kind in every way. We even asked him about the local area and he talked with *all* of his staff to double check for an area we weren’t sure about, instead of rolling his eyes and saying that we should look it up, or that he didn’t know (and didn’t care). gable is a force of kindness and professionalism, while being funny, sweet, and resourceful all the meanwhile. Thank you Gable for making our trip FANTASTIC, and helping us refuel and get a sense of direction! We have lots of hours to drive, and making sure we have something in our bodies to get out the door means the world!!!

Not great Pro’s: room was large, pillows and bed were comfy, and the price was decent. Con’s: shower was very dirty, bathroom was extremely small, and bathroom door lock was broken. Typical hotel breakfast. I would not stay again due to the shower condition.

Awful experience. AVOID. This Sleep Inn has to be one of the worst in America, especially when it comes to customer service. I will NEVER stay at this property again, let alone on any of their other properties again. Several reviewers have commented on the discrimination they felt from the staff, and they are right. I felt profiled during my entire stay, so much so that I felt the need to reach out to the state's AG.

Eat Before You Get There! We stayed here twice within a 5 week period while on a road trip to Florida from Wisconsin. We found the hotel to be clean, the free breakfast was adequate. The pool looked quite small. We didn't use it. One thing I will say, which is no fault of the hotel, is that if I had it to do over again I would stay in Champaign instead of Danville. Danville is much smaller than I anticipated. The hotel is located in a cul-de-sac off the highway outside of town, in a cluster of other hotels. There are NO RESTAURANTS. There is one on the highway sign, but it has since closed. In order to find a place to eat you have to drive 3 to 5 miles. At the time of our visit the highway was under construction and the girl at the desk directed us to a ramp that was closed. In the time it took us to find a place to eat we could have been in Champaign with lots of choices. A big shout out to the very nice lady taking care of breakfast in the morning. She gave us directions through town to avoid construction, which would have been SOOOO helpful the night before!

Handicap accessible! I require a handicap equipped room. The one we booked at Sleep Inn in Danville is the best we’ve ever had. It was spotlessly clean, had a great shower with a built in bench situated so I could reach the faucet and hand-held spray, plenty of grab bars and enough room to maneuver. The manager was friendly and so willing to accommodate the guests!
