Family fun in Iowa What a great place to stay in the heart of DSM. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. The front desk staff and shuttle service were so pleasant and helpful. This is not your cookie cutter hotel. The lobby, bar and other spaces are fun to visit.

Nice clean hotel but customer service is lacking My colleague and I recently stayed at this hotel for A week on a business trip. Room was very nice but During this week we received no maid service even after requesting it. We had to take out our trash ourselves and get clean towels from the front desk.. Our flight was early in the morning so we scheduled a shuttle ride with the hotel. The shuttle driver was a no show so we had to get a cab and that was almost impossible at 3am but we got lucky and found a lyft driver. The staff is very friendly but they don't follow through on requests even when they say it's taken care of. We won't be staying here again. For business people who travel alot we don't recommend it people to stay here until service improves.

Excellent choice We've been on the road for four weeks and stayed in many different hotels by the time we got to the Savery in DesMoines. What a treat! The staff members are friendly and very helpful. Our room was perfect- big and nicely appointed with a couch and oh so comfy big bed. And the whole place is sparkly clean. This will be our place to stay in DesMoines.

Savery service for sure We spent one night there. Loved the hotel, the location and the room but the service by the staff was the best we have ever experienced. They were helpful above and beyond. They helped us in ways I would not expect in non Covid times but I didn’t expect them in Covid times either! We got there about 8 pm after a 10 hr drive. The restaurant had just recently opened with a limited menu due to Covid. It’s the Midwest snd the menu was meat heavy which neither of us eat. The front desk manager got the chef John to COME TO LOBBY AND DISCUSS WHAT HE COULD FIX FOR US!!!. After a bit of discussion John made two salads from the burger garnishes and used the “special sauce” as our dressing. Along with fried cheese ravioli and tomato sauce it sounded perfect. We were weary snd asked if we could get it served by room service. But Covid shut that down too. Without a second thought the front desk manager offered to bring it up. We were beyond grateful to get to our room, put our feet up and eat a fabulous dinner in front of the tv. Thanks to ya’ll for your kindness.

View Asked fir a landmark view when making reservations. I was told by the person on the other end “yes I took care of that for you”. Here’s our view. And the motel was full they wouldn’t move anyone. Extremely disappointed.
