Clean and Tidy We stayed here for a weekend trip to Louisiana to tour plantation homes. This hotel was very clean and quiet. We got the 2 room 3 bed suite. It was clean and had a lot of room. The ice machine is located in the lobby, breakfast also had many choices and was pretty tasty for a hotel. The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was it was kinda in the middle of nowhere. Not many restaurants around at all. Walmart is a few mins away so we went there and got food and ate in our room. Overall it was a nice stay. Thank you.

Off the beaten path...but so worth the short extra drive from the Interstate! This hotel is a little off the "beaten path" of the quick convenience of the Interstate, but well worth the extra drive! The rooms were very clean, beds comfortable, "quiet time" begins at 10 pm! The best part of every day was the delicious, hot breakfast of eggs and sausage that was cooked fresh each morning by Ms. Thelma, beginning at 5:00 am. Waffle, cereal, bagels and muffins were also available. All the staff were professional and courteous and made certain that all our requirements were met in a timely way but Ms. Thelma was exceptional in providing a clean, heathy and welcoming environment for our breakfast each morning. This Quality Inn certainly provided excellent value for us. When we are in the area of Gonzales again, we will definitely return to the Quality Inn Donaldsonville-Gonzales!

Great Sleep, Good Price Parking: Plenty Beds: comfy and clean Bathroom: Small but clean Breakfast: waffles were good, eggs watery No oats but they have instant grits Price: Good Staff: Check in clerk didn’t say a word, just glared and did ‘t offer membership. The morning clerk was cheerful. The kitchen lady was nice after you got her talking The hallways had no A/C and ice machine on 2nd floor broken

Staff is helpful, but certain rooms need some updating We were checked into room 126; with king bed. We were starting to get unpacked when my husband turned on the water in the sink. It was HOT. He couldn't get the cold water faucet to give out cold water. Same with the bathtub. I reported the problem to reception. In the meantime, my husband reported that a socket sparked when he withdrew his cell phone charger. Reception came to check the water situation out, ran it in the sink and tub, and agreed with us, but said maintenance had probably gone home. So, they gave us room 118 which was a free upgrade, and we repacked and moved into that room. The bed was comfortable. We had breakfast the next morning in the dining room, it was typical Quality Inn-which was fine. The breakfast room was well kept, as was the lobby. In the morning when we checked out, reception said that maintenance had looked at rm 126 and the water was fine. Something was said about the pipes being hot when we checked into the room, so it took longer for the water to register to cold. Well, that was a "first" for us -in all the hotels we have stayed in so far. I think something should be adjusted with the water so that both guests and reception don't think something is amiss, in future.
