Love the Pool ! Check in and out with Amir the desk clerk was fast and friendly. Nice, nice young man. If we needed fresh supplies they were very quick to bring about. While there is no shopping within walking distance the drive is very short. Thus, this puts you out of the fast paced metro which is great for quiet. The pool was fabulous. The breakfast was so good. One of the best with Chef Dave who is a local winter permanent Texan. Dave has been featured in the New Yorker. Yes, overall the property is a little worn but a great value for budget minded people. Pets are accepted with a charge. :) I will be back again.

Moldy Smell The room smelled so moldy and never got the moisture out of the room all night. We were told the following day, that the motel had flood damage over a year ago and it took them almost a year to get rooms remodeled. The only remodeling they did was replace the carpet with vinyl planking. No drywall or baseboards were replaced, so my allergies say there is mold growing lots of places they painted over. The only reason I gave a 2 is because the clerk didn’t argue but immediately offered to refund 2 nights. I would not recommend staying there.

Our Home Away From Home This is year three wintering at VP. This will be our first Christmas down here. The staff are ever helpful and accommodating. The VP guests are the reason we return each year. Our VP family continues to grow. It’s impossible to be bored here. Pickleball, shuffleboard, bocce ball, crafting center, woodworking, billiards, ping pong, exercise room, water aerobics.

Power outage Worse experience ever one the staff is very rude . Two we checked in and left to get something to eat so we left our clothes in the living room of our suite only to come find out that the power had gone out and we found our clothes drinched in water as there was a huge leak in the ceiling and a enourmous puddle of water.

Wonderful Week at Victoria Palms I recently spend a great week at Victoria Palms. A cousin of mine and her husband own a park model on the property and booked me for one of the Deluxe King Suites. Our jaws dropped when we saw my lodging – spacious, beautiful, spotless, and very well cared for. The only flaw I could find was some slight peeling of paint on the exterior door. Aside from that, wonderful. On top of that, a free breakfast was included at the large dining room on property, each meal of which was delicious, generously portioned, and promptly delivered. The nearby pool and hot tub were exceedingly clean and inviting. Victoria Palms has much to offer as a home away from home for "winter Texans" - many activities, crafts, and even a two-hour music Jam each Thursday evening by talented winter residents. All the staff I interacted with were helpful, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. The daily housekeeping was another pleasant surprise. I was totally impressed by my entire stay at Victoria Palms.
