Great staff make an OK place better I enjoyed my time at the Villas, mainly because of on outstanding staff. Whether you are checking in, calling the front desk, meeting with the concierge or talking to cleaning crew they are all responsive, polite and hard working. The resort is on the verge of being dated and they do need to reconsider their cleaning policy during covid. Either they have to make sure to send up clean linens and towels mid week or they need to come in and clean the rooms. Overall I had a relaxing time

Worst, most dismal, saddest resort ever I’ve been staying at the Marriott Villas at Doral (Miami) for exactly 29 hours of my week and I’m seriously thinking of bailing and swallowing the tough pill and cost of losing my money and points. As a long time, legacy vacation club owner with Marriott, I can safely say this is the saddest and most bizarre resort in their Florida footprint. There’s a plane flying low overhead every few minutes. There is construction, very loud, going on endlessly in the resort. There is literally a dead yet beautiful City Place Doral but there was nothing open or going on there. The pool is small and very cold, and there is no Concierge on duty but there’s a marketing rep readily available to offer you a sit down for a small gift - I’d rather stick hot pokers in my eyes!! The refrigerator doesn’t even have a filtered water spigot which forced us to lug a case of water into the unit. You are forced to wear a mask literally everywhere despite the CDC and Florida no longer having a mask mandate; it’s been lifted people!!! I mean it’s hard to believe THIS is a Marriott property. No decent pool bar? No food venue? Jesus Marriott WTF happened to you???

Needs Updating We spent 5 days at this property. We had 2 villas with 3 couples. There was road construction at the property and we had a hard time figuring out how to even get in. There were no guards at the gate so anyone could get in as the main gate was closed off because of the construction. The units were well traveled and needed updating badly. We have stayed in probably 10 other Marriott vacation clubs and clearly this was in the worse condition as to rooms because of a lack of refurbishing on a timely basis. Appears Marriott is trying to save money even though they get paid Maintenance Fees annually from owners that should go to updating and maintenance. So one could have a question as to what they are doing with the maintenance fees that they take in and our increased annually. Marriott Vacation Club needs to update completely every 5 years or less as to their villas. We own at Grand Ocean on Hilton Head Island and that property always seems to be maintained and updated as necessary, but not Doral. Why?

Used to be nice So many renovations! Jackhammers, tile floors being jacked up, tile saws and more. Not relaxing at all! Used to love coming here...ask about renovations before coming here. May 2021 We do love the arriving planes to Miami International. Plane lovers and kids will love that part.

Don’t bother Weird location, middle of a industrial park, surrounded by streets where people drive 60+ mph, it’s really unpleasant and noisy. Hard to walk anywhere as the area is under construction and sidewalks are not finished. The rooms are very dated and not at all comfortable, the couch was awful. Pluses are in unit laundry and dishwasher. They had dish soap and laundry detergent which was helpful. Maybe fine if you’re just there for the pool.
