Wedding Venue! Perfect stay, amazing hotel and absolutely brilliant staff! Well what can we say, we cannot thank Kiki and her team, Amelia and all of staff here enough, they are absolutely brilliant!! We had our wedding here in August and I can honestly say it was a perfect day, from start to finish the whole experience/hotel were fantastic! They are helpful, kind and will go out of their way to make your day so special, from the planning to the actually day and even the day after they looked after us, our family and friends! We cannot thank everyone enough, from the bottom of our hearts we are truly grateful for everything! If anyone is planning a wedding, I would definitely recommend this venue by far! We looked at most of the venues within this area and this was the winner and we're pleased we chose the Burford Bridge!

Spider for company We have stayed at this hotel many times to visit family in the area. Sad to say it is going downhill rapidly and OYO needs to get its act together. We received an email explaining check in. This was providing us with a code to get into the hotel if the door was closed, and also a code for our room along with our room number. Impersonal to say the least. We did not expect therefore for anyone at reception as it stated in instructions, if any issue to send a WhatsApp and they would attend. What a lovely way to be greeted??!! When we did arrive a gentleman appeared and asked if we were checking in. We told him we had everything we needed, however he insisted on seeing confirmation of payment. We would not have got the codes if we had not paid but we showed him of course. We’d never paid to park there before, because as a guest you’d tap your reg into a machine in reception, but, he asked for £10 a day to park. After some discussion he said ok I’ll charge you £10 which I paid. Would we have had to pay parking if he was not there, I wonder??? We found the room after negotiating past a cleaner sitting on the stairs playing with her phone who didn’t move, an empty wine glass and a dead spider on the corridor carpet. Key code to get into room worked ok. Room ok but not particularly clean. Woodwork in the room is dusty and carpet had clearly not been hoovered. Bed comfortable, Bathroom has mould. Room was attended to after first night and only one towel left. Fairly obvious there were two of us. What made our stay better was Adam the barman who we have known from previous visits, he is so friendly and helpful, we enjoyed chatting to him each evening we were there. Needless to say the dead spider remained with us for the duration of our stay too!!!

A pleasant interlude… I spent a few nights at this hotel in the middle of September. The loacation is beautiful. The hotel has lots of character. My room had a tired feel about it and the sink was cracked in the bathroom. However, it was peaceful, roomy with a comfortable bed and a nice but limited view. It was extremely good value for what I paid. The staff that I had most contact with were in the restaurant at breakfast time. Mary, the under manager, was professional, hospitable and very approachable. Monica (the Hungarian woman) who worked as the waitress was very attentive to my needs, friendly and helpful. The barman, who I only saw once, was friendly and made me a lovely chocolate with a shot of brandy in it! The visit was extremely pleasant apart from the coffee machine in the restaurant which needs upgrading! It was made special by the staff in the restaurant and I hope that I can visit again!

Incompetent staff I booked an overnight stay for a friend's birthday through wowcher. On the day of our planned visit I rang Burford bridge to confirm my booking. I twice spoke to the same woman to be told I didn't have a reservation, despite giving my full name, email and mobile number. She advised me to book another room as there wasn't much availability which I did. On arrival I discovered I had 2 rooms booked!!! They've refused to refund me and won't take any responsibility for their actions, despite me previously staying here 5 times. I've emailed back and forth and am appalled at their poor customer service and disgusting I'm out of pocket due to their staffs incompetence.

New owners snagging list Hotel is beautiful but new owners have a lot to learn with how to handle lost booking and refunds, could have been dealt with in a better manner !! First of all a male member of staff came into room when I was getting changed into bikini. Bathroom was not cleaned. I noticed the black mould on shower wall, overflow in basin was full of mould also brown marks on the white bathroom sideboard. There was a bare minimum of coffee only two sachets, but you’re ok if you’re a tea drinker as there was 8 bags of different flavours but no milk. Food round the pool was ok but very disappointing portion size for the price of food. Went to the bar inside 3 times to wait for over 10 mins for service, it was not busy but young staff didn’t seem to know what they are doing and not acknowledging customers.
