Hampton Inn & Suites Dothan

Nice, but housekeeping goof Nice hotel. Stayed here several times before. Room was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast is above average for Hampton inn. Only downside this time, there was no bedding for the hideaway bed. I went downstairs to request some. The staff probably gave me some sheets of blanket, however, they apologize that they were out of pillows. Not sure what type of Hotel runs out of pillows.....

Fine if you have to be in Dothan and need a place to stay Your basic Hampton Inn. Clean and pretty quiet. At least at night. The hotel is under construction so if one wants to catch a nap during the day…….good luck. But for a place to stay, if someone has the misfortune of having to be in this part of Alabama, it’s fine. The most annoying thing is the elevator. I have never seen an elevator door that opens and closes as slowly as the one here. Very annoying

Advance check-in is a pain We tried to stay there but as another person said the hotel is under construction. We have stayed here before and so I checked in on the app to pick our room - big mistake. We get there and see the construction and decide we did not want to pay full price with the construction going on - so I tell the guy at the front desk and he says no problem - he cancelled our reservation and said no charge - he said we might see a pending charge since we had checked in on the app. We go to another place and a few days later I see a charge for one night on our Visa bill. So I call and person said the manager should be able to fix and would call us - no callback. Call again - same story - no call back. So the managers name is Georgianna so I start calling and just ask for her - finally get to speak to her and she says should be able to fix will get back to me. We go back and forth a couple of times and after a month she gives me my money back. What an ordeal - why is it so hard to understand that I do not want to pay almost $200 for zero service. So if you check in on the Hilton app make sure you are going to stay there - otherwise it is a pain.

Will be great - later. Currently under renovation. Hotel is currently under renovation. This was not noted on the Hilton Honors reservation site. Guest check in was super! Caleb was professional and helpful. We had a newly renovated room on the 3rd Floor. New furnishings and bed linens are new, wonderful! However, construction plastic covering window with scaffolding outside. Pool and Fitness Center closed. Breakfast was less than mediocre. No local or national TV networks available (supposedly a Spectrum issue but none the less disappointing). Check out was lack luster. Asked about 100% Hampton Guarantee and received a less than expected response.

I have been to many Hamptons and been very pleased! However.... this location is SUB PAR! The beds were VERY uncomfortable... Pillows on Kingsize bed were only standard size.. Linens need serious updating as do ENTIRE furnishings!! I was a little apprehensive as we walked down the hallway to our room... carpeting had white crumbs everywhere!!??? We were traveling through Dothan and it was the perfect halfway stop for us.Chose this property because I have always had pleasant stays at every Hampton Inn I have stayed at.... Personnel was very nice.. but.. a lot needs to change here!!!!
