Wonderful Stay, the kindest and most helpful staff ever While vacationing in Colorado in June 2021, my husband experienced a medical emergency. We had a find a hotel during the beginning of the busy season where we could stay till our family arrived to drive us home. We booked an accessible room and found it to be absolutely spotless. The bathroom was huge, bed comfortable and there was even room for a large sectional sofa. Great air conditioning too. The best thing about this hotel though, was the staff. I can't tell you the many ways they helped us, from carrying our bags, giving us early access to our room, providing us shower chairs and offering to drive us to our room. I tried to tip them and they refused, saying they wanted to help. We are so thankful we found this place and these kind people. They were truly a lifesaver for us during a very difficult time.

No major complaints Our room was small and the king bed was about 6 “ from the wall on one side. There was no side table for my glasses or outlet to charge my phone on my side of the bed which is inconvenient. The staff was very professional and accommodating. The bed was OK and the room was clean. The hotel is on a very busy street with no close crosswalks ( not their fault) , but the pizza place and breakfast restaurant were across the street, however Taco Bell and a Mexican restaurant were nearby on the same side of the street for dining options . Due to Covid restrictions from the Navaho nation no breakfast of any type was available. The hotel had multiple buildings so if you want to be away from the traffic noise, or if you have kids that want to use the pool, ask for one of the rear building rooms. Good value for visiting Durango

Canceled my reservation to give my room away at higher price! I had a reservation here for a pet friendly room. A lady that was from India called me to ask if I had a reservation for two rooms. I told her no, it’s for one room. She told me that she would cancel the second reservation, and would see me the next day. She canceled the only valid reservation I had. My reservation was no longer in the app. I called the hotel, and they said I had a valid reservation with them, and they gave me the confirmation number. The number they gave me was not valid. I had canceled it about 3 weeks before. I put this confirmation number into the app, and it showed canceled. If I can check a confirmation number to see if it’s valid, then why could the hotel not do this. I had booked this at $118 several weeks before. The going rate was around $180. This was very fishy! I think that they had a guest that wanted to stay over, so they looked for a way to get rid of my reservation. I was in a pickle because you have to book several weeks in advance to get a lower rate, and to get a pet friendly room. This was very dishonest! How could anyone be so stupid!

Are you kidding me? Checked in to our Durango Quality Inn room in December 2020. The bed in the room was about 18 inches from the wall. As I walked on that side of the bed to see if there was an outlet (no, there wasn’t), my leg hit a treacherous metal component of the bed frame sticking out two inches at least from the bed frame. It gouged my leg above the ankle and I was wearing socks and jeans! (See pictures below.) There was no way to see it as it was covered by the bed skirt and it was/is a real hazard. No way to see it. (Room101 if you are staying here). The person on that side had to remember to avoid it each and every time they got in or out of bed with not enough space to do so. We informed the hotel clerk the next evening about it and that it had really cut my leg. She informed us that she already knew about it but thought until they could get it fixed it was at least covered by the bed skirt so that it didn’t show. She did not offer to fix it while we were there, nor give us another room, nor offer us anything for our troubles. Nada. Are you kidding me?? I’m not at all impressed and wouldn’t choose this hotel again.

Comfortable and a good location An older hotel that could do with some updating such as new carpet. The room was clean and well equipped with fridge, microwave and coffee maker. King bed was very comfortable. Excellent shower. Check in was quick and efficient. They usually offer a breakfast but instead had done a deal with the cafe across the road for a 20% discount. They have good coffee and breakfast burritos. The hotel is within walking distance of the Animas River Trail.
