Never Again 1. Hotel staff did NOT wear masks 2. Dirty laundry lined up against the hallway wall right where you enter and exit. 3. Manager took it upon herself to add another week to my stay and charged my credit card $561 without permission. My credit card alerted me, thankfully. Main headquarters notified and monitored her. MAKE SURE YOU KEEP TRACK OF THEIR BILLING ON YOUR CREDIT CARD. Still waiting for the return payment to my credit card for the full $561. 4. Never cleaned the room once, in a 30-day stay. 5. Dirty room upon arrival. Other people's clothes are still in a dresser drawer. Clearly, no one did anything to prepare the room. 7. Washers/dryers didn't work; vending machines were always out of drinks. 8. Uncleaned spills in the elevator, dirty carpeting in hallways, nasty smell. 9. One staff member, Gia, was very nice and accomodating. The only one. 10. So disgusted with this experience. Doesn't deserve a 1-star at all. When I got here, it was only then that they announced that they were closing down and being sold. Guess they just didn't care to do their job, and it showed. No one was ever at the front desk to help. If that's what you like, this is the place for you.

Good Place if you are relocating to the Triangle Area! After the death of my husband in February, I made the decision to concentrate my job search to the Research Triangle area of North Carolina (I grew up in Raleigh) after obtaining my present position, I had to have someplace to stay, as Charlotte is 2.5 hours away and making that commute every weekday to be at work before 7:00 AM was not an option, plus I was house hunting on the weekends. I had made my original reservation at the location on NC Hwy 55, which is right around the corner, but a drive-through the day before my check-in day convinced me to change my reservation to this location. I don't regret that decision at all. Kudos to Danielle, Makayla, and Marcee for all of their help during my stay. The only reason why I am giving this four stars is that the Wi-Fi could be temperamental (they were having the same problem at the front desk!) and the refrigerator was leaking, thank goodness I had the foresight to bring some of my own towels to keep the leaks at bay, although it was not only leaking outside but inside the refrigerator which I didn't realize it was happening until I checked out and was cleaning out the stuff I wanted to take with me to my new home. I can recommend this location, as it is close to I-40 and is one exit up from the Southpoint Mall as well as Downtown Durham. They also allow pets (for a deposit) and will make sure that your room has an animal in there. I like that they have a kitchen, and they will provide utensils, pots, and pans for a small fee.

General Manager Problems I checked in for an 85-day stay on Sunday, December 20. Nikki, front desk clerk moved me in. Excellent staff person. I called her a couple days ahead to tell her I wanted a quite room on the 3rd (top) floor at the end of the hall. She gave me what I asked for. I gave her a $40 tip. She only makes $11 (eleven dollars) an hour like the other young front desk clerks, Brittany and Marie. On Monday morning I looked around and noticed the stove was dirty, missing a knob. Not all of the eyes worked. Nikki came up and tried to move the stove. I told her to wait for maintenance. The one maintenance guy, Josh, was told about the stove problem. The General Manager, Danyelle Shearin, asked him to find another stove. That was at noon on Monday, December 21. Danyelle Shearin said it would be about an hour. I fell asleep. At 2:45pm, I called Danyelle. She said, "Are you ready?" I reminded her she promised one hour and she was late. When Josh came with her and Nikki, he removed the old stove. Josh started working on the problem with the curtains while Nikki checked the stove. I asked them to leave so I could go shopping for groceries and get back before dark. When I returned, Brittany offered to help me get my groceries up. She asked my room number with several people sitting in the lobby. Danyelle shout out, "She's in 321." I was stunned that she would comprise my security. Her response in reference to the people in the lobby, "They're not staying here." More shock and awe that people hanging out in the lobby now know my room number. Danyelle Shearin lies without provocation. There is much more of this nightmare like toilet not flushing because no water in the tank. Waiting for the District Manager, Lane Young, to call me back. Numerous reports to Customer Relations. The property at 2504 NC Hwy 54 has serious management problems. The workers are excellent. Danyelle Shearin is incompetent.

Rooms are not well maintained The hotel room I stayed in was disgusting and because many aspects were not well-maintained, my stay was entirely uncomfortable. The door lock was broken (see attached photo). Therefore, I felt unsafe from the beginning. The electric wall outlet was broken and cracked ( see attached photo). The floors were stained with red spots throughout the room (see attached photo). This made me feel uncomfortable to even walk around in my socks. With my shoes on, I walked into the bathroom and the floors were sticky with every step. The tub looked dirty. The area were the tub met the floor had large cracks and the wood was revealing (see attached photo). I did not use any of the towels provided. I did not shower in the room during the 2 nights I stayed and had to ask to visit my friend's home to shower. The pillow covers had a yellow-murky color. The only positive aspect was that the AC was working well during the 95 degree + weather in June. I have had pleasant experiences in other Extended Stay America in other states, but I was not expecting how bad this one would be.This is one of the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Due to COVID and my short stay, I did not use any of the amenities.
