Shower awful Paying $200 a night 10/14 at least warrants a functional showerhead, goodness, charge me $15 more and replace the danged thing. Not a good value but it was convenient to highway. Always happy with the free breakfasts, even when it’s not so tasty.

one bad apple It only takes one terrible employee to make your business look and feel bad to your customers. Hampton Inn has that one bad apple. From yelling across the lobby to making every interaction a nightmare they have you covered. Feel like paying two hundred dollar's a night for a terrible experience? Enjoy the Hampton Inn in Edenton.

Not what we expected We traveled to Edenton to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. It was a special weekend for us. We checked into the Hampton Inn on Friday July 28th and when we entered our room my wife said “it’s freezing in here”. I adjusted the thermostat, but the cool air from the A/C unit would not stop. We left to tour the town and I asked the lady at the front desk to have someone check the A/C in our room Three hours later we got back to the hotel and the room temperature was still frigid. I contacted the front desk a second time and they sent maintenance to our room. The maintenance person worked with the thermostat but cool air continued to pour into our room. We asked to be transferred to another room but were told nothing was available. We asked to speak with the manager but she was off for the day. We got her email address and sent her a note explaining the problem we were having. She didn’t respond, but a little later someone brought a blanket to our room. We considered trying to find lodging in another hotel but felt it was too late in the day to find accommodations for that night. We then discovered that, even though the thermostat wouldn’t keep the room at a fixed temperature, we could switch the setting from cool to heat and this would stop the flow of cold air. So, for two nights and a day we toggled the thermostat from cool to heat and back again to try and regulate the temperature of our room. The manager, Katrina Barnes, reported to work Sunday morning and I asked to speak with her. I explained the problem we were having and her response was there was nothing wrong with the air conditioning. She said when the outside temperature is in the 90’s the A/C in the unit runs constantly. When I inquired as to why the thermostat wouldn’t regulate the temperature in the room she said “I’ve got to go”, and walked away. The issue with the A/C was an unwelcome distraction to a celebratory weekend that should have been relaxing and stress free. It wasn’t.

HORRIBLE HAMPTON INN Front desk clerk at check in was UNBELIEVABLY rude! Ive never encountered a staff member at Hilton property this rude. From the moment I walked up to check in she was rude and loud. at one point told me "she doesnt have time for this today" when I asked bout getting a room key. She would never hand me a room key and I had to reach over counter to obtain key. I cant understand how someone can be so rude with no provocation whatsoever. Several guests witnessed her actions and remarked how she was the "WORST". My family and I left the property shortly after checking in becasue we didnt feel safe with her having access to a room we were in.
