friendly staff The night shift receptionist is very professional and friendly. She took great care of us. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious. My favorite part was the very clean pool. The kids really enjoyed being there.

Extremely average While the bed and pillows were comfortable, the stay was extremely average. The hotel itself is dated. The door to my room did not close smoothly. No one acknowledged my status or offered amenity points at check-in. The breakfast was OK. The front desk associate didn't know how to split out the two rooms I reserved so my friend could pay his own way.

Nice and convenient Convenient location, clean, near two good restaurants, a Mexican place next door and Meyers BBQ one street over. Grocery store and Liquor store in the same strip mall, all within an easy walk. Kids enjoyed the pool, good size lobby for getting together

Trip to Elgin The television had 4 white spots in the middle of the screen. Breakfast was ok. Room was clean. Only had liquid soap. I prefer a bar so I bring my own.

Fun weekend at the Sherwood Forest Faire Room was clean and comfortable, 10 minutes from the Sherwood Forest Faire. We got the 2 queen bed suite, plenty of room for 4 adults and room to stage our gear and get ready the morning of the faire. Unfortunately, as with most of the Holiday Inn offerings the breakfast wasn't entirely desirable, but blueberry muffins and bananas aren't a bad choice.
