Perfect for us We were passing through on a cross-country trip, looking for a affordable, clean, comfortable place to stay overnight. In short, we got everything we asked for. Plenty of parking, check-in was quick and efficient, staff was competent and polite, the room clean and quiet, bed very comfortable, TV and wifi worked well, and breakfast was OK. Thanks, staff, for a nice experience. If passing through again, this is where we will stay.

Disrepair and apathy mark this hotel I often choose Sleep Inn motels because they have reliably comfortable mattresses. The Elkhart Sleep Inn was no exception, but there the resemblance to other Sleep Inns ended. The room was in very bad shape with a wall lamp damaged and pieces hanging down, large green spots on the rug, which looked filthy, and the vinyl base board was falling off the wall for a distance of two feet or more. There were holes in the bathroom wall where the toilet paper holder had fallen off. There was such a strong odor of disinfectant that it was almost painful, but didn’t convince us that the room was clean. When I told the desk attendant, his reaction clearly said that he could not care less and that no changes would be made. This Sleep Inn is a disgrace to the brand and Choice Hotels should investigate.

Don't stay here. Ever. I wish I had read the reviews before we stayed here. We have stayed here sat last 20 times for Notre Dame football games. It had always been a clean, friendly hotel with a nice breakfast buffet. We had not stayed here since the COVID shutdown. We're we in for an unpleasant surprise. We were told upon check-in that they were underground a renovation. Yes, the carpet in one floor had been replaced. The construction debris was dropped in the parking lot, taking up 6 spaces. Our room has been updated, but not renovated. They only service the rooms every 2 days. Which is fine, but they never told us that until after I had to go down to ask for more toilet paper... They had left about 5% of a roll after the last "cleaning". Yeah receptacles on the common area were over flowing when we got there, and we're never emptied by the time we left. Common area carpets were never vacuumed and the trash there accumulated. Breakfast buffet? Bagels, blueberry muffins, make your own waffles and greasy bacon. All 3 mornings. The only reason I give this one star is because the beds and pillows were comfortable. There are at least 7 other hotels on the same street. No reason to ever stay at this one

DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED $ My last 3 visits have been very similar actually exactly similar I come and I check in , I get a room for my family and the kids to have a good weekend , each time 3/3 the first room wasn’t prepared to be slept in beds a mess, trash on the floor etc. so I have to come back and asked to be reassigned a room , though that’s the first red flag I’m determined to have a good weekend . BREAKFAST, man the worst hospitality you can receive I understand the concept trying to satisfy customers and I’m no high class citizen but the half ass work that goes into breakfast, they should’ve save that to make sure the rooms are ready when they assign them if that’s not to much to ask and my main problem is the problems you have to go through to receive your deposit back I’ve called my bank twice and had to continuously harass the workers to ensure I received that back all in all a 2.5/10

AVOID AVOID! Choice Hotels should be ashamed! A friend paid for my hotel stay at Sleep Inn in Elkhart, Indiana. Choice Hotels should be appalled and ashamed of this facility. It is filthy and dated, and the rooms are in horrible repair...broken sinks, torn wallpaper, dirt caked in corner of bathroom. When I checked into my FIRST room, the toilet hadn't even been flushed from the prior guest and was plugged, so the room smelled horrendous! I was moved to another room (without an apology), and that room had a broken sensor on the bedroom light, causing it to stay on ALL NIGHT! Please CHOICE... you're better than this! Do not believe the guests who are leaving positive reviews of this hotel...they have to be paid reviews!
