Great stay in Elko at the Elkotel! I recently stayed at the Elkotel and was pleasantly surprised to see the hotel has undergone some renovations. The hotel was clean and updated to a modern style. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back and would recommend staying at this hotel. The hotel is pet friendly and will bring our furry friends along with my next trip to Elko.

Mixed feelings on this hotel. They are trying to do business in a construction zone. The front desk didn’t have any A/C during a 100 degree day. This made a me a bit worried about if the room had A/C which it did. We had some hiccups in our first room so they moved us to another one which was comfortable. This will be a nice hotel once construction is complete. There was a continental breakfast consisting of danishes, yogurt, fruit. They did not have coffee cups, just plastic juice cups. The front trash can was overflowing with trash and although they accept pets, the only place to take them to pee is through a deserted hotel parking lot next door to some grass. They have a ways to go to get it completely up and running, until then it’s a bit of a head scratcher. The room was clean and bed comfortable.

Unacceptable I stayed here for the Elko Mining conference. The place was still under construction and should not have opened for guests until it was completed. They raised their prices ridiculous high for guests to stay there during this time and did not deliver. Ripping off guests and not delivering an even mediocre stay is a bigger slap in the face. The elevators did not work, the air-conditioning in the main lobby did not work, refrigerators in the room like promised on there amenities was non-existent, no closet rod, light gad to be turned on in the hallway for the tv to work, my air-conditioning did not work in the 1st room, loud construction every morning, had to wait multiple hours for the internet to work to check in for my stay and the list goes on from there. I had to drag my luggage from the 1st floor to the third floor when I checked in and then to the second floor since my air-conditioning did not work. I was extremely disappointed with my stay.

Elko Nevada Booked a king room 2 months in advance when I arrived all they had was a queen, no discount for the change. Website says free breakfast but they quit having breakfast 6 months ago. Not impressed, the desk person was pretty rude

Awesome Manager I was on a long drive going North through Nevada, was going to stay in Winnemucca but nothing was available because of a horseshoe convention (really?). I was way tired, Kimmy, the mgr. answered the phone, gave me a great rate, and was there to check me in 2 hours later when I arrived. Because of a staff shortage, she had been there for 14 hours but was still able to be incredibly helpful and friendly.
