Comfort Inn Emporia

Would stay again! The hotel was clean, the desk staff were friendly. There was no smell - as in most pet friendly hotels. We were traveling home from Florida and this will be my new stop. There was a free breakfast but we did not get up in time. The water temp and pressure in the shower was great.

Lots of Choices at this Location - Stay somewhere else. I'll remember next time to check where the pet friendly rooms are before I book. This hotel puts pets (and smokers maybe?) on the 4th floor. Very inconvenient for having to walk the dog. That was our first encounter at the check in. The ladies at the desk were friendly, but that was the policy and that is where we were put. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable so I give them that. After being in the room for a short time, we realized that the floors were uneven and the ceilings looked like they had had water damage. We hoped the ceiling wouldn't fall in. LIttle things were off. The TV was flat screen as advertised, but I guess I thought it would be a smart TV like I've had in several other hotels recently. On the remote we could not see the words to tell what button to push, so my sister went to the desk to see what could be done. They gave us an identical remote without batteries so we could tell which buttons were which. Okay - not a huge problem, but . . . Sometime after midnight my sister went down the elevator to walk the dog. When she got outside, the desk clerk (who was out there) told her the elevator call button didn't work and you'd have to walk up to the second floor to get the elevator. The clerk did that which was nice. However, it does shatter one's confidence in the elevator. By morning, the elevator was working properly again. But I did notice that there was no certification that the elevator had been inspected since spring of 2021. The shower was disappointing. Very low water pressure and the control handle was finicky. My sister who has long hair skipped the shower! The breakfast was unappealing to me, but there were a variety of offerings so I guess it was adequate.

Not a memorable stay. when I arrived the front doors would not operate. After I checked in I went to look for ice, I found out that none of the ice machines in the facility were in working order. I looked past these deficiencies.and returned to my room to find out that the fan in the bathroom was making a very loud noise. I hope that all that I experienced was not the norm. We left early in the AM before breakfast was served.

Going south for the winter Receptionist was lovely - the hallway smelled from smoke although our smoke free/pet friendly room was clean/ smoke feee and comfortable - breakfast was ok the egg omelet was delicious but could have used something other than sausage and would have like to see apples - would stay here again

Very good Very friendly. Very clean rooms Also prices were cheaper than others in area. Not sure what’s else to write cause trip advisor wants 200 characters in this review. Hahahahahah. Relax and have a great night visiting sleep inn zzzzzzz. Zzzzzzz
