Springhill Suites by Marriott Erie

Cancelled reservation - poor communication Canceled reservation! I booked a room months in advance for an overnight stay on our way from FL to Ontario. We arrived at the hotel around 10:45 pm on Friday, Aug 1 only to be told our reservation had been canceled due to an expired credit card and that they sent an email to notify me. It is important to note that I was able to check in using the app 2 days before our stay and that day of our arrival, including when standing at the desk, the app still said they were looking forward to seeing us. Additionally, the email received came from Sherika Brunson’s Gmail account NOT a corporate account. Supposedly, Sherika is the front office manager. The email was sent at 5:45pm and gave me until 6:00pm to call and update my credit card info. Given that I was driving, I didn’t see the email until we arrived and were told about it. In spite of the fact that the hotel had my phone number, there was no phone call. The gentleman working the front desk informed us there had no rooms and that there was nothing he could do for us. After driving 13 hours, this was not the news we expected. It was very frustrating to be left trying to find lodging for 5 adults at 11:00pm. The whole experience was very unprofessional and makes me question the management of this hotel. Why not call? Why not use a corporate email account? Why did the app not prompt me to update my card info? It almost seems as if the hotel was overbooked and looking for ways to remove reservations. As a result, we will never stay at this hotel again and frankly, will reconsider booking Marriott hotels in general.

Perfect hotel for stays in the in Erie, PA area This is a long overdue review for our stay in August 2024 (which was our third 3-night stay at SpringHill Suites Erie). This hotel was perfect for us and our friends. Large, clean and well-equipped suites, comfortable beds, good breakfasts, free parking, short drive to Presque Isle State Park as well as other nearby attractions and restaurants, great customer service. Special kudos to Melanie, the most professional, friendly, and helpful front desk staff member I've ever come across in all my hotel stays. We are going to be back in a few days.

Well appointed spacious room Our Family of 4 had an excellent stay here. Very spacious room with 2 queen beds and a sitting / work station area. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was good. Location is close to the outlet shops. Ample parking for your vehicle I Recommend this hotel.

Nice, short stay near a lot of restaurants. The hotel was nice and clean. It’s been renovated relatively recently it appears. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was typical for this hotel category (e.g., eggs, bacon, yogurt, muffins/bagels, waffles, etc.). The hotel is located near a lot of chain restaurants—-several walkable. There is a grocery store across the parking lot and very walkable.

Sports Teams Mania _ We booked a block of rooms for 2 sports teams due to a tournament that our basketball team attended. The evening staff, Taylor and Dylan, were tremendous! Sports teams are never easier in a hotel, especially with 18 seventh grade boys. _ Taylor and Dylan were extremely accommodating as well as patient! I highly recommend booking a stay at this hotel!
