Pleasantly surprised Stayed overnight to visit our grandsons 2nd birthday after reading the reviews I was worried but the hotel itself was very clean & nice! I was so relieved it was very nice, new and clean! The bed was very comfortable and the room itself had a full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, counter stove. We sat outside in the fire pit the staff came out and started the fire from a remote control. They had free full breakfast consisting of pancakes, fruit, eggs, sausage & gravy, muffins and juice. The staff was very nice overall stay was 5 star I would recommend it and stay again!

Parcel forwarded by Hotel We ordered a small item that was delivered to the Hotel unfortunately not prior to our departure. However before leaving the hotel we left our forwarding address 2 weeks later we followed up as we had not received the parcel and we were told they hadn't had time to send it. They finally did at a cost to us of $ 40.45. The item itself was valved at $12.00. Ridiculous! The box for the item was roughly 15 times the size needed and they sent it priority which was unnecessary. Just received the parcel today. Our stay was in December 9th. Not very prompt nor efficient service.

Clean but renovations didn't cover everything Stayed for two nights recently. Room was clean and great staff however the age of the place shows through even with recent renovations. Certain smells still permeate the hallways and elevators and the bathrooms still show signs of wear. I was happy overall especially the price & personnel.

Horrible Absolutely horrible! Welcome to the era of covid 19 travel! With the world on lockdown not being able to go pretty much anywhere for the Fourth of July weekend 2020 ; yes it is right ! 2020 ! (I have not being able to catchup believe it or not) I decided to do whatever was possible and travel to what was available at the time without leaving my home state of New York due to travel restrictions so what better time to see something I always wanted to see; the archipelago located on the St Lawerence River at the border with Canada known as the Thousand Islands, also famous for the namesake salad dressing. It was hard to believe that amidst the plummeting travel industry at the time hotels downtown were outrageously expensive therefore I needed to search for more “budget” friendly accommodations within the area, that’s how I landed at Candlewood Suites, what a fiasco! The property is completely ran down beginning with the chairs at the front desk, although I have nothing to say or complain about the hotel staff which were very accommodating the building itself has way to many issues beginning with bugs inside the room. I had requested immediately to be moved to a different room thinking that this will resolve my problem, I was wrong! The same problem persisted Hotel staff is very attentive, cleanliness is not that impeccable but at least the staff tries to make it up for everything else the property is lacking. Hopefully a year after these factors had changed

Great Place This hotel is great. Staff members are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and spacious. There is an outside grill to BBQ on with table and chairs to set. This place is very quiet and nice.
