Holiday Inn Express and Suites Exmore, Eastern Shore by IHG

Best breakfast ever! We had a very comfortable stay. All staff was helpful and friendly. We are in our 70s and have stayed in many hotels and this is by far the best breakfast of all, selections and presentation. Want to give a shout out to Joanne, the breakfast hostess. She is awesome. Everything is clean and well stocked with a wide variety of breakfast items, and she is warm and welcoming to guests. Easy to see she loves her job. We highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice stay in Exmore, VA The Holiday Inn in Exmore, VA is in a very convenient location, right off Rt. 13. [ It's a small town about an hour away from Virginia Beach. ] It's a short drive to shopping and restaurants. I had a very nice 3 night stay as did several Family members as we were in town for a Family Reunion. The hotel staff members are EXTREMELY pleasant. I dealt with "Melissa South" months before the event; she handled everything so well, and ALL went smoothly. THANKS MS. SOUTH!!! The hotel was clean and everyone felt safe coming and going at all times. The room was comfortable and there were updates. I can't comment on the free breakfast as I'm not an early riser. On the down side, some of the doors are hard to close making it noisy as you have to slam them shut. Some of the housekeepers were a bit loud as they spoke to each other in the hallway, which is narrow. They also need to make sure to check the microwaves and coffee makers to ensure that they are in pristine condition. Overall though, very nice stay. I would certainly stay here again and recommend it to others. __

Hot breakfast is back! Very nice room on the first floor. Excellent breakfast with biscuits and sausage gravy. (So many other places still have cellophane wrapped pastries.) Indoor pool and fitness room. About 20 miles from Cape Charles, but an easy drive. Other day trips to Onancock and Wachapreague. I will come again.

Doublespeak about pets - no maid service When I booked this hotel for two days, the IHG website clearly stated no pets allowed. After checking in I noticed the signs I have attached at each elevator entrance with instructions for pet owners. I questioned the manager about this and was told that only service dogs were allowed. There was also a sign at the entrance to the breakfast nook saying no pets in the breakfast area which I failed to get a picture of. If you have a family member with lung and allergy issues as I do you might want to consider what all this doublespeak means. Pets or no pets. On the agreement page they have you sign when checking in you initial for no smoking but there is nothing regarding no pets. I’m use to initialing for no pets at other hotels. When we returned to the room in the afternoon of the first day it had not had maid service. I went to talk to the manager and her front desk associates. They tried to convince me it was my fault because I didn’t tell them I wanted maid service. They claimed I was supposed to read the sign I have pictured here which is at belt level. Laughable. They could have had me sign for maid service on the agreement page I signed for no smoking. Seems easy enough. On the positive side, the breakfast was not skimpy and was fine.

Five star room and breakfast Husband and I had an enjoyable time at the centrally located Holiday Inn Express-Exmore. The entrance and halls were clean and smelled nice, and the rooms were great with comfy beds and spacious bathroom. The breakfast was excellent and offered a variety of breakfast foods-hot and cold. Mainly, the staff was friendly and efficient throughout our entire stay. We highly recommend this hotel.
