Great one night stay prior to cruisetour We stayed here at the beginning of a Holland America cruise tour. We only spent one night, but it was a nice hotel for a one night day. We had a room that had a kitchenette and a sitting area. It would be the kind of place that would be to stay for several nights. They had a restaurant, I didn’t notice the hours, but we were leaving in the morning and they had breakfast to-go in addition to full service breakfast. Staff was excellent.

Dirty ! Disappointing ! The common areas, such as the hallways and main entrance, were filthy! Even more disconcerting was my room. The toilet was not properly cleaned. I asked for it to be sanitized the next morning, and the staff simply provided more towels. First time this has ever happened to me! I would avoid.

Below Par The hotel has a new and an old wing. Although we requested the new wing prior to arrival, our room was in the old wing. Dirty carpets, no room cleaning. Staff at front desk were polite and knowledgeable. Breakfast buffet was terrible. Save your money. We were booked here through Holland America Cruise, which seems to own the hotel. Only good thing was luggage transportation went very smoothly.

Not good The hotel was average! The housekeeping was nonexistent! I think our room was touchéd twice in 6 days! Had to constantly ask for cups for coffee and coffee! Had to ask for clean towels at least 3 times! No refill on Kleenex! They cater to the cruise line people and leave the others to fend for themselves! Not good, very unhappy!

Nice Stay in Fairbanks We had a different opinion on some of the reviews. We found this hotel to be very nice and the rooms were clean and certainly big enough. The staff was super friendly and helpful and they had a very good restaurant called the Red Lantern. On a less positive side there is not a lot to do around the hotel and the city is very small but that did not bother us as we were only there for the night. We did walk down the street a few blocks and never felt threatened or we were unsafe in any way.
